Our 16 year old daughter had a wonderful stay with Anna and her family. Her first journey alone went very smoothly as she was picked up from Orly and from there it is only a short journey to their lovely home. My daughter really enjoyed the animals, walking their dog and also spending time with the family, including her daughter who is more or less the same age. It is a great location to visit both Paris and Versaille and other beautiful nearby towns and the family made every effort to ensure that our daughter had activities every day. Every day we received a summary of the days events, photos and the plans for the next days. Even though for us the language was not the main priority, even in one week our daughter was able to immerse herself in the language thoroughly! The real recommendation is that our daughter would happily return! A big thank you to all!

My daughter Isabel had an amazing stay with Pilar, everything was perfect! Pilar is a wonderful host and took really good care of her. The one-to-one language lessons were tailored to my daughter and there were lots of opportunities to speak Spanish from a family get together with a huge paella cooked outside to playing bord games in Spanish. Trips included Valencia old town, a museum, an art gallery, a trip to the beach and a flamenco show. Pilar provided lovely home cooked meals every day and the swimming pool was a welcome added bonus. My daughter's Spanish improved hugely after the trip and she was even dreaming in Spanish when she came home! My daughter would love to stay with Pilar again. Highly recommended!

We did lots of fun activities such as going to a waterpark, beach, visiting Valencia, they took me out for paella and we went camping. The food was really nice and they have a lovely house. Our son Lucas, 14 years old, was very well welcomed by Donna and her family. They made him feel at ease right from his arrival. He did activities every day (walks, visits) with Donna and Oscar, the dog he loved. With the sea at the end of the street, Lucas often went there to fly a kite or walk at low tide. Conclusion: a very pleasant stay during which Lucas was able to improve his English level in a welcoming environment.

Marta, Andi, Joël, and Lena are a very welcoming and loving family. Before leaving, I was very anxious about this trip because it was the first time I was traveling alone at 17, and I was especially afraid of not being autonomous enough with the language. But, thanks to Marta and her family, I felt so comfortable... They were able to reassure me when I didn’t necessarily understand all their sentences. Thanks to them, I was able to discover so many things in Barcelona and the surrounding areas. We spent two weekends in different cities, and it was extraordinary because it allowed me to see different landscapes. My daughter Loane (17 years old) stayed for 3 weeks with Lorraine. She was very well received and was integrated into the family as a full member. I was able to communicate very easily with Lorraine before and during the stay. Each family member made an effort to be understood, repeating and correcting when necessary, which helped Loane improve her English. She enjoyed her stay as she did a lot of activities, family outings, shopping, hiking, biking, and sightseeing (very enjoyable as Killarney is a very beautiful region). Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

With the goal of improving my English, I chose to spend a week in total immersion in England, with intensive lessons. Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. Through the lessons, I truly became more familiar with the English language, and daily immersion greatly improved my skills. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
