I invite you to discover the City of Light, VALENCIA!
Hello! My name is Pilar. I introduce myself as a host and Spanish teacher.
I am going to introduce you to my family, my house, and my surroundings.
My family:
We are a welcoming and enthusiastic family that loves to share our space, our city, and our culture with people from different countries.
My oldest daughter, Esmeralda, is a law student at the University of Valencia, with a very sociable and fun personality. She is independent and usually visits us on weekends and holidays. My son Max is creative and very friendly, studying Fine Arts.
My partner is named Sam, a British citizen. He works as a medical advisor for a pharmaceutical company in London. And lastly, myself. I am a Spanish teacher, working online and self-employed, I am fascinated by my work. I worked as the director of the Leonardo Da Vinci Study Center in Valencia, as well as a Spanish teacher at David Game College in London, where my family and I lived for ten years.
My house:
We live in a chalet in Gilet, a mountain village near the Mediterranean coast, just 20 minutes from the city of Valencia and ten minutes from the beach. We are close to the city and the beach, restaurants, supermarkets, and next to a Roman castle.
In the house, there are three guest bedrooms: one with a double bed, another with two single beds, and another with a single bed that can turn into a double.
The house has two terraces, a swimming pool, gardens around, a barbecue (where we will cook our paellas... haha), and a small vegetable garden.
We can accommodate three people if they want separate rooms, one person in each bedroom. However, for groups or families, we can accommodate up to 6 people if they are willing to share the bedrooms.
As a host in Valencia, I welcome to my home anyone, family, or group of friends from any country in the world who wish to visit our city and surroundings.
We receive two types of guests:
TYPE 1.- People who want to visit Spain and live with a Spanish family during their stay because they want to LEARN SPANISH or improve it and are also interested in getting to know Spanish culture, tradition, and food.
For them, classes are personalized following a study program according to their level of Spanish and age. Classes can also focus on preparing for internationally recognized Spanish certificates such as DELE or SIELE.
Reservations are accepted for a single person or groups for this type of guests.
TYPE 2.-Groups or families who want to get to know the city of Valencia and its surroundings, as well as the culture by participating in some festivals in our region such as "Las Fallas," "Holy Week," "La Tomatina," etc., and enjoy the sun and the beaches of Valencia.
Reservations are accepted starting from two people for type 2 guests.
