My daughter's language stay in England went perfectly and largely met our expectations, even exceeded them. She was welcomed, along with her friend, by a caring, dynamic family that was very attentive to their well-being. The stay went very well! It was a successful first experience for my daughter. Anne-Marie took care of Alice, respecting her pace and allowing her to settle comfortably in a pleasant room. The meals were suggestions, and Anne-Marie made sure Alice lacked for nothing, even treating her to some snacks. The activities were adapted to the heat, and Alice loved the farm and the chance to discover Cross Country this week. Claudia was a lovely playmate with Alice, and the girls got along wonderfully; Alice enjoyed the presence of her friends several times and went out in the city. The girls were able to shop together, swam in the lake, and shared moments that will remain wonderful memories for Alice. I received regular news and even photos and videos. Anne-Marie took care to provide me with information to reassure me and let me know what the weekly program was. It’s a very organized family, very attentive to well-being. A big thank you for this very successful first experience that went wonderfully and allowed Alice to live very rich moments of sharing and learning!

A first successful experience in a host family for our 15-year-old son over a period of 17 days! He was wonderfully welcomed by Michelle and her family, who showed him Bristol and its surroundings, integrating Jules as a family member: sharing meals, cultural strolls, shopping, and water park visits. He even had the chance to spend 2 weekends in their caravan on the coast. Michelle regularly communicated with us to give updates and share lovely photos during the stay. Jules got along very well with their grandchildren Riley and Morgan. He was able to benefit from a comfortable single room. This experience allowed him to enrich his vocabulary and feel more comfortable in practicing English. I stayed with this family for two weeks as part of a Linguifamily homestay, and it was a wonderful experience. The farmhouse is beautifully restored with contemporary style, and my large, comfortable bedroom with a private bathroom made it feel very much like a home away from home. From the moment I arrived, the family were warm, kind and genuinely welcoming. Within just a few days I felt like part of the family, and by the end of my stay I felt I had made real friends. Before arriving, I mentioned that I enjoyed walking through villages and forests, cycling, visiting local markets and castles, meeting people, and home-cooked food, and we did all of those things and more. It was a fantastic way to experience everyday French life and culture rather than just seeing it as a visitor. My French is still at a beginner level, but the family were incredibly patient, encouraging and always happy to help me practise. I also had the opportunity to spend time with their family and friends, which made the experience feel even more authentic. There was a lovely balance of sharing meals, conversations and activities together while also having privacy whenever I wanted some quiet time. I would happily recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a genuine, welcoming and rewarding French language and cultural immersion experience.

Sean, Lisa and Cathal welcomed me in their family as if I had always been in it. I was scared to leave my parents because I'm 15 but they are the kindest people I have ever met and it was a pleasure spending two weeks with them. Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

With the goal of improving my English, I chose to spend a week in total immersion in England, with intensive lessons. Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. Through the lessons, I truly became more familiar with the English language, and daily immersion greatly improved my skills. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
