We have developed a partnership with AXA ASSISTANCE which is a Multi-risk travel insurance company specially designed for language stays.
Guests who make a reservation with Linguifamily are automatically covered by AXA ASSISTANCE for the duration of their stay regardless of the country in which they travel.
You will receive a full refund if the host family cancels the stay, or if you cancel the stay within 48H of booking.
We encourage guests returning from their stay to leave a review on the host family's profile. Benefit from their experience and book with the families that best suit you.
On host family profiles, discover their photos, their lifestyle, what they propose to discover during your homestay. You know in advance who you will be staying with and under what conditions.
Use our secure messaging system to make the first contact with the host family you have chosen. For free and with no obligation to book, check their availability and ask for additional information or to simply get to know each other.
Pseudonyms are not allowed for registration.
Our members register with their name, address, and mobile phone number.
Profiles, photos and comments are reviewed before publication
We award a "Verified Profile" badge to the host families who have provided a proof of address. Each adult in the family also must provide a copy of their identification and a background check.
The "Certified Profile" badge is only awarded to host families who have provided a proof of address, identity documents and background check certificates, accompanied by a minimum of 3 references from previous guests.
In addition, since July 2021, we systematically conduct a video call interview with our new host families.
However, please note that our host families are not visited and that there is no on-site control by Linguifamily.
