We had an incredible experience staying with Susana and Isaías and cannot recommend them highly enough. From the very beginning, they went above and beyond to make sure everyone in the group had a meaningful and enjoyable experience. My friend and I attended together, alongside another learner from France, and despite this being their very first time hosting a group, everything ran remarkably smoothly. What impressed us most was how thoughtfully they adapted to different Spanish levels. They did an excellent job accommodating both beginner and more advanced speakers, making conversations accessible while still challenging and engaging for everyone. This was a true Spanish immersion experience. We spent so much time speaking and learning naturally through everyday interactions—discussing local politics, daily life in Spain, culture, and current events—which made the experience feel authentic rather than classroom-based. On top of that, Susana and Isaías organized fantastic excursions with plenty of walking and exploration around Madrid and Toledo. The outings were very well planned and gave us a deeper appreciation for both the cities and Spanish life in general. Their home itself also made the experience even more enjoyable. After long days of walking and exploring, it was so relaxing to come back and unwind. We especially loved spending time in the back garden, and having access to amenities like the gym in the basement and the TV room made the stay feel comfortable and restorative after busy days out in the city. For a first group-hosting experience, they absolutely exceeded expectations. Thank you both for your warmth, generosity, patience, and all the effort you put into making this such a memorable experience. Olivier is a good teacher and he really hit the point with me. His wife Camilla, too, helped a lot with corrections and conversation. They are a nice couple, and I was glad to share healthy meals and everyday life in their beautiful home in such an elegant area. However, although Oliver is bilingual, he has a noticeable French accent, which was quite unexpected and rather disappointing at first. Then, contrary to what is stated, the guests' bathroom proved to be rather less private than one might have supposed :-) while no cultural visits to London were offered (apart from a couple of agreeable walks in the nearby Hampstead Heath). On the whole my balance is more than positive, therefore I’m giving them a solid 4, which I consider an excellent rating!

For context, I am a 19 year old from the UK on a year out. Staying with Olga and her family was amazing. I felt like the third brother, and was welcomed as family from the first day, when Javier cooked me the most delicious carbonara I've ever had. I stayed with them for 3 weeks while attending a language school in the center of Florence (10 min walk as their house is extremely central - which was ideal), and exploring the city and other parts of Tuscany. I cannot recommend staying with Olga enough, I learned as much if not more Italian language from her than the school, as she was a very kind and patient teacher. If you are sporty and/or into the gym then this family is perfect, eating delicious and healthy food everyday and going to the gym often. My bedroom was also very comfortable, with a nice bed and plenty of space to store clothes and even a large desk for studying. Most importantly, I honestly didn't feel as though I was staying in a stranger's house, but instead visiting close friends. If you want to visit Florence, and would like a truly authentic Italian family experience, then Olga and her family are the ones for you. Grazie mille Olga!

Helen is a very pleasant woman. We got along perfectly, and my stay with her was excellent under every respect. She drove me around her beautiful county. We visited lovely villages, churches, and historic houses. We also had interesting excursions to Oxford and Bath. I learnt a lot and we had a lot of fun together, both during the day and in the evening, when we sometimes played board games. I highly recommend her.

I had the pleasure of staying in County Wexford, Ireland, with Beatrice and Michael Crowther while I was there to improve my English, and I honestly could not have wished for a better experience. They are a truly wonderful couple who made me feel at home from the very first moment, welcoming me with warmth, kindness, and genuine care. I immediately felt comfortable, safe, and well looked after. They live in a large, beautiful, and very welcoming home, which made my stay even more enjoyable and homely. They also kindly showed me some of the most beautiful places in Ireland, taking me to stunning and unforgettable spots. It was a wonderful way to discover the country and experience it in a truly authentic way. The food was exceptional, with delicious home-cooked meals prepared with great care, and I always felt like part of the family. They also have two lovely little dogs, Tilly e Cocco of energy and personality, who made the atmosphere even happier and more cheerful. Most of all, they were incredibly patient and understanding with me while I was learning the language, always making me feel comfortable and encouraged despite the language barrier. I will always keep wonderful memories of this experience and of their amazing hospitality. My 16-year-old daughter spent a 3-week stay with Vanessa and her family to do an internship with André, her husband. This stay went extremely well. Vanessa, André, and their children are extremely kind and very caring. She did her internship during which she learned a lot. She was also able to visit Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Malibu, Santa Monica, and Route 66. She went to the gym with André, watched movies with the kids, and formed a special bond with Khalia, their 16-year-old daughter. She was warmly welcomed and will very likely return to stay with them again. I am infinitely grateful to them for taking care of my daughter for 3 weeks. And in response to the previous review that Vanessa received (which she could not answer), I find it inappropriate and disrespectful because Vanessa agreed to take this person in even though she normally does not take in adults. She incriminated Vanessa and her family without any basis and furthermore, when we go to a family, we must accept that they are different from our life habits... and accept them as they are. I wanted to emphasize this because after seeing that review, I could have canceled my daughter’s stay, but I listened to my heart and my instinct after discussing with Vanessa, and I made the right choice because the stay went very well. The family enjoys quiet moments, which my daughter found very nice. The meals are different from France, but my daughter ate very well and not just rice!!! She had no issues with the safety of the house and went out without any problems. She was able to drive a sports car with André, which she appreciated a lot. So trust them, and if you are looking for a pleasant, calm, and friendly stay, you can go there with your eyes closed. Thank you again ☺️🌸☺️

We had such an amazing stay with Pilar. We had our own living space and also the use of an amazing terrace, with spectacular views of the mountains. Pilar was a kind and enthusiastic host who made us feel at home. All the meals she made were lovely and she went out of her way to make us feel at ease. The Spanish lesson was tailored to our level, and we felt like we were learning all the time as Pilar spoke in Spanish and then English for most of the visit. We explored the local area and visited some interesting and historical sites. We would not hesitate to recommend a stay with Pilar. It is a different type of holiday but we felt like we were living in a real Spanish home, not a tourist spot.

Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
