Book: The Adventures of Fipsila
In 2012, we authored, published, distributed, and tested a book of 14 short stories and designed, manufactured, distributed, and tested our game specifically for you as an English Language Learner!
We authored this book of 14 short stories told through the eyes and perspective of our 2003 - 2006 Camping Car (called an RV or Motorhome in the USA and a Camper Van in England). The stories are about our life and experiences & the lives and experiences of others from around the world. Some are stories about those that rented our RV. We read this together to practice speaking, listening, writing, reading, and have discussions!

You share with us the results you wish to achieve. Together, we gain agreement on how we will accomplish this for you. Then ... Let's Go! We take action to achieve that. At the end of each activity, each day, and your stay with us ... you share what you have been learning - a debrief. Finally, what will you continue to do once you leave to keep learning and growing your English Language?

Our Backstory:
Our 1851 farmhouse on five hectares of land is located at Marliac, 65 kilometers south of Toulouse, 50 minutes north of Carcassonne. We purchased the 22-hectare farm in 2008, which was an "honest to goodness" working farm (horses, sheep and border collies, goats, a pig, cows, turkeys, chickens, cats, eating rabbits, dogs, birds, Angora Rabbits (for Catherine's yarn/home-made garments) including a 500m2 barn with 20 horse boxes. We cultivated the land and restored every room in our home on the ground floor and first floor. A four guest maximum gîte is on the property as well.
- Principal Residence 400m2 [originally the residence, cow barn, and animal feed storage]
- Covered guest terrace 100m2 [originally the tractor area]
- Two fire pits to enjoy year-round!
- Two outbuildings for the animals [Catherine built these]
(FYI: also on the property: Garage to store equipment, machinery is 100m2; Gîte is 100m2 with a 40m2 covered terrace - originally the chicken and pig areas)
