I went with my 12-year-old granddaughter. It was her first experience in Spain. I enjoyed being in a small village, without tourists, 30 minutes by bus from Granada at the foot of the Sierra Nevada. Alex and Marina taught her to play board games, which facilitated learning the language without pressure. They introduced us to the culture of beans and peas in their shared garden. We were able to explore the surroundings by car and on foot, understand the irrigation systems inherited from the Arabs, and smell the sweet scent of orange blossoms. We appreciated the exceptional flavors of Andalusian fruits and vegetables. Every meal was a celebration, an opportunity to discover delicious, very varied dishes prepared at home with local products.

Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. Through the lessons, I truly became more familiar with the English language, and daily immersion greatly improved my skills. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
