We sent our teenage daughter to the home of Catherine and Celia for two weeks. I must say that it has been the best decision we could have made. We couldn't have chosen a better family for this circumstance. Catherine was attentive to her at all times. She ate fantastically well and very healthily, the house is lovely with a beautiful garden, the ideal setting with its lavender fields and vineyards. Celia perfectly integrated her into her circle of friends. Catherine provided her with very motivating and enjoyable French classes at home; she even told us they felt short! She went on sightseeing visits, got to know friends and family. Communication between us and Catherine has been smooth and very easy. For us, it has been a perfect experience, and a balm of tranquility, which is what we were looking for when it comes to our teenage children. We are in perpetual debt to this family. I went on this trip with my 11-year-old son to improve my English for my work and for my son to learn a few sentences before he starts school. My son could play and enjoyed with the children. I shared a long time with Dee and Erik just talking together and get to know them. I loved this sharing. They have a lovely house close to the sea. We visited a coffee farm, game reserve, my son enjoyed fishing, playing in Mac banana park, we had breakfast in an incredible place with such an incredible view, we discovered the smallest desert in the world, and a natural reserve with Antony who was our guide, we shared barbecue in the reserve and at home…We did unforgettable activities. There are many things to see and do around Port Edward. My goal was achieved: I improved my speaking and listening. I am very very satisfied with the trip. We were very sad to leave. Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
