I had an excellent stay with Mairead and Brendan. They have a deep love for their country and were able to convey that to me through our exchanges, outings, and the stories they shared: the beauty of nature, customs, local sports... Mairead and Brendan were always very available. Mairead kindly offered me the chance to do an internship from Monday to Friday at a DIY store, which I really enjoyed, and I got to meet and interact with many people. People more charming than the others! Mairead also suggested going for evening walks after my work, and I had the chance to visit the Marian shrine of Knock, which is like the French "Lourdes"; it’s a very beautiful place! I greatly appreciated the moments spent in the car with Brendan, which provided opportunities for exchanges and vocabulary enrichment on various subjects. He is very pedagogical, an excellent teacher, and has a lot of humor: he is the father that everyone would want to have! Oh Jesus (he will recognize himself😉). Mairead's cooking was very good; she is an exceptional cook, you won’t go hungry at their place! 😊 I felt a real improvement in my spoken English; I even had the chance to chat with an American on the plane on my way back, something I wouldn’t have been able to do before arriving in Ireland. Our son Théo (17 years old) and his friend Lucas (16 years old) spent 3 weeks at Fiona's. It was an exceptional experience. You can leave your children with her without a second thought. They came back with many memories. Fiona is a caring and attentive person who offers a multitude of activities (visits, cinema, swimming pool…). The boys didn't have time to get bored, and she even arranged a week's workshop with a musical theater troupe where they performed on stage at the end. If you choose to go to Fiona's, you will not be disappointed! The boys really became attached to her and are considering going back. A big thank you to Fiona for giving them this experience and for her warm welcome. We regularly received photos and videos.

My son Louan (12 years old) spent 3 weeks at Patricia's house with her children. It was an excellent experience. Patricia is a loving mother, attentive and very warm. She made Louan feel comfortable from the first day, which allowed him to feel "at home." Louan says it's like having a second family. She took care of him like her own children. Together, they went camping for a few days in a region of the southeast. They swam by the sea, fished for crabs, ate ice cream... Louan participated in a horseback riding course with Evan. Thank you to Mairead, Brendan, and the whole family for the warm welcome they gave to our son Oreste (14) during 2 weeks. This was Oreste's first homestay abroad, so it was a bit intimidating at first as he was finding his feet the first few days and discovering a different way of life. After a few days, Oreste was perfectly comfortable. Mairead and Brendan offered Oreste plenty of activities, and the evening English classes taught by Brendan particularly pleased him. We were lucky enough to meet Brendan at the end of the stay since we joined Oreste in Ireland for our vacation. Brendan is very friendly and warm. He also speaks French (he loves France), and, provided you don't overdo it, this can be useful in certain situations! 😊 The only regret for Oreste is that he was the only young person welcomed into the family during this period, but this of course depends neither on Mairead nor on Brendan, who, it’s to their credit, commit to not hosting two young people of the same nationality at the same time. When Maria took care of my daughter and spoke with me, I was very quickly reassured. Before being a host family, Maria is above all a mother who knows how to welcome a young girl into her home, who understands her needs, her moments of doubt, and even knows how to dry tears if necessary! Maria took care of my daughter with great attention. She respected all my requests and was available beyond my expectations! My daughter experienced the rhythm of Maltese life; she was integrated into outings, into the family, and into Maria's daily life. She had a very comfortable room for herself, a bathroom dedicated to the hosted students, a refrigerator, and everything necessary to feel good. Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
