Learn english in Malta with Maria

We spent a week at Maria's, who made sure to welcome us as if we were at home. We were two adult women and shared a room with a private bathroom. We did not choose to take English classes, but Maria made it a point to have us practice English at every breakfast and dinner. The meals were copious, Maria is an excellent cook, and she wanted us to taste a number of typical products from the island. Special mention to the fish! We enjoyed it so much that Maria insisted on preparing it for us a second time. Maria accompanied and guided us for two half-days, in Mdina and Valletta. We then continued our exploration of the city on our own. She was very helpful in organizing our week and provided us with great tips, both practical and cultural.

I want to express my deep gratitude for the welcome and support I received during the six weeks I spent in Malta alongside Maria. The moments shared, simple, sincere, and warm will remain very beautiful memories for me. These six weeks have been a great step on my learning journey. My English has improved. I’m not leaving bilingual, of course, but I am leaving with a little extra, more confidence, and especially one less blockage, which is already a big step thanks to this caring environment. Maria demonstrated great kindness, generosity, and constant attention. Her energy, daily help, and big heart touched me deeply and greatly contributed to the quality of this experience. The accommodation was very pleasant, comfortable, and conducive to learning, with a warm atmosphere that allowed me to feel at ease. I had a large room with a private bathroom, very good quality bedding, and a balcony. The organization of the stay was smooth and well thought out, facilitating my adaptation and allowing me to fully enjoy this immersion, both on a human and linguistic level. I also greatly appreciated the many shared moments experienced daily, particularly family meals. These friendly and authentic moments, in a true family spirit, were particularly precious, allowing me to discover Maltese life from the inside and to practice the language in a natural and caring setting. I am sincerely grateful for all the support, everything that has been set up, and for the beautiful human encounter that it represented for me. Thank you so much, Maria. I will never forget you.

Séjourner chez Maria a été une expérience merveilleuse. Nous avions une chambre confortable avec une très propre salle de bain privée. Les repas étaient délicieux avec de la viande fraîche, des légumes frais et plusieurs spécialités maltaises. De plus, Maria était très flexible pour passer du dîner au déjeuner ou au pique-nique. Elle nous a emmenés à trois endroits différents et a donné beaucoup d'informations historiques et culturelles. Nous avons également eu de longues discussions avec elle, ce qui nous a permis de progresser en anglais ! Grâce à elle, nous avons pu mieux comprendre le mode de vie maltais. Maria est une femme chaleureuse et attentionnée, elle est donc particulièrement digne de confiance pour accueillir de jeunes étudiants. Nous lui sommes très reconnaissants.

I am packing my bags for my return to France after 2 weeks spent at Maria's. The stay was very pleasant, the welcome from the family was as if I were a member of the family. Maria and I went on 6 outings during which I was able to discover the monuments, unusual places, and tourist spots in Malta. Through the lessons, the familiarization with the English language is real. Daily immersion has enhanced my skills in this area. The accommodation is comfortable, and Maria's culinary skills are excellent. Hearty and refined dishes. In short, I will keep only good memories of this stay. It is even very likely that I will repeat this experience. I highly recommend this place.

When Maria took care of my daughter and spoke with me, I was very quickly reassured. Before being a host family, Maria is above all a mother who knows how to welcome a young girl into her home, who understands her needs, her moments of doubt, and even knows how to dry tears if necessary! Maria took care of my daughter with great attention. She respected all my requests and was available beyond my expectations! My daughter experienced the rhythm of Maltese life; she was integrated into outings, into the family, and into Maria's daily life. She had a very comfortable room for herself, a bathroom dedicated to the hosted students, a refrigerator, and everything necessary to feel good. Maria created a program for her that she will surely never forget. My daughter is very grateful to her for receiving so much attention and kindness. I received news and photos every day, which is really appreciated! Another important point, Maria is an English teacher, which guarantees a high-quality "language immersion"!
