They were able to put me at ease from the first day😊 We did a lot of very interesting cultural visits but also cooking, walks in the city but also in the forest with dogs and manual activities! The house is very nice and Michelle's food is delicious (Matt's burgers too 😋)! The city of Nottingham is great, many interesting shops and charity shops 🤩 I highly recommend this family and I am sure to return as soon as I have the opportunity! They are adorable, funny and very cultured. My 16-year-old son spent 4 weeks with Yvonne's family. He came back thrilled with his experience. He really enjoyed his immersion in a high school for a week. This experience allowed him to communicate with other young people. He then took a small job in a grocery store, which involved less interaction. I had several exchanges with Yvonne and she was always very responsive. The family regularly hosts "foreign guests" for many years. The "guest" is considered a member of the family. My son was quite independent during his stay, but Yvonne was there if he had any questions... This stay was a very positive experience and my son made progress, especially in oral comprehension.

Laurie and Milan created a once in a lifetime experience for my partner and myself! We were with them for one week in Sept 2024 to practice my French after a year of studying. The location is in a great spot located walking distance from a supermarket, pharmacy, and cafes. It is about a 20 minute tram ride away from downtown Montpellier. The house itself was extremely clean and very comfortable. Laurie and Milan are excellent hosts, and the most kind couple I've met. They are very prompt communicators and helped us with everything from directions to get to their place, rides to the tram station, and recommendations for things to do. They left out breakfast for us every morning, but the best part was that they cooked dinner every evening. Always something new, always a French specialty, and always delicious. In regard to French practice, Laurie and Milan made time everyday to speak French with me, even after they had long work days. They were both very patient and helped teach me new words and phrases. More than anything they were very pleasant to talk to and good conversationalist. My French is at its best level since I've started. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about my time there. Laurie and Milan truly created an once in lifetime experience. It went above and beyond a language learning vacation and will be a life long memory!

Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

With the goal of improving my English, I chose to spend a week in total immersion in England, with intensive lessons. Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. Through the lessons, I truly became more familiar with the English language, and daily immersion greatly improved my skills. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
