My daughter Anna, 13 years old, spent two weeks with Anne-Marie. The stay went very well. Anne-Marie welcomed her very warmly and provided us with daily updates about Anna with photos and videos. Anna was able to ride ponies almost every day, and Anne-Marie took her with her daughter Alex and her friends to several pony demonstrations/competitions. I think this family is particularly suitable for young girls who are passionate about horses/ponies because it is the almost exclusive activity practiced by this family (lessons, demonstrations, competitions, outings to buy pony food, etc.). I highly recommend this stay for young people who enjoy a rural environment and ponies.

They took great care of me, arranged various activities, and helped me find an internship at a dance school; I even got to spend a day in Dublin thanks to them! I wish to express my appreciation and gratitude to the whole family who welcomed Isaure, my 16-year-old daughter, who went to stay with them in June 2025. It was her very first trip outside of France, and it turned out to be an ideal stay with Sandra, Anthony, Tara, and Laura. Sandra was able to welcome and quickly make Isaure comfortable, making sure to communicate with her in English to encourage her to interact with her and her daughters. Thanks to this very attentive family, she was soon able to find her place and, for example, bake cakes and crepes with them. This helped her gain more confidence in herself. Moreover, the family made sure to introduce her to some wonderful sites that are culturally interesting, typical Irish places, and entertaining, while also introducing her to horseback riding with their ponies and horses! She was able to meet friends and cousins of the family, thus getting to know Grâce, Eve, and their charming parents who were equally invested in welcoming her and spending time with her during her visits! Isaure adds: I was won over by this whole family who did everything to ensure that I had an excellent stay... and they succeeded to the point that I didn't want to go back home to France... I would have loved to stay an additional 1 to 2 weeks! I thank them affectionately for reaching out to me in this way. I know that I will make sure to come back to see them, either alone or with a friend, as soon as I can! Brendan and Mairead, along with their family members, are amazing. It was our first time participating in such an experience, with the apprehensions that come with it. Mairead guided and supported us from our registration to the child's return. They stepped up when the airline failed, and the child was not stressed. My 16-year-old daughter spent 15 days with Rosemarie's family where she did an internship at a school in the neighboring village. She particularly enjoyed the friendliness and good humor of the family as well as following their children in their own activities (football match, horse riding competitions, camping). She also liked being in a different environment (countryside, horses) from the urban setting in which we live. The house is spacious and suitable for large families with an upper floor for bedrooms and shared bathroom for the students present. She was there with several French students welcomed like her for a few weeks, which may have limited the daily time she spent interacting with the family.

With the goal of improving my English, I chose to spend a week in total immersion in England, with intensive lessons. Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. Through the lessons, I truly became more familiar with the English language, and daily immersion greatly improved my skills. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
