Our son Sam, 17 years old, enjoyed his 8 days with Dana, her extended family present during his stay, and the little cats of the house. The registration for 2 musical evenings with peers his age was a lovely opening, in addition to some cultural visits, including a wonderful and busy half-day in London. The lessons and conversation opportunities gave Sam the desire for daily practice of English and new travel horizons. Goal achieved! Thanks also to Dana for her availability prior to the stay for a first video call and for choosing the appropriate mode of transport, which was the train to Kettering.

Enrik had a great stay with Maria and her family. They did everything to make Enrik feel comfortable and have a good time. Communication with Maria was excellent as she regularly updated us and waited during the delay of the flight departure to ensure that my son boarded safely. Everything was perfect, it was a wonderful experience and Marianne offered us all possible conveniences. I wanted to spend a week with my two teenage children in a city in England that was easy to explore and well connected, and Bath was a very good choice; after searching on websites like Airbnb or Booking, we found Linguifamily and it has been a very good choice. The website gives you the assurance that the families are prepared to welcome us and feed us during our stay. This time I went with the kids, but if you are considering sending them alone, it wouldn't be a problem. Marianne offers to pick you up directly at the airport. We arrived at her house on a direct bus from Bristol airport, but Bournemouth or Southampton airports are also nearby. Marianne is a cultured, sweet, and sporty girl who quickly adapts to your needs, with good conversation, patience, and very resourceful. We were choosing what plans we could make throughout that week; she gave us facilities and freedom to do tourism and had no problem taking us by car to a school we wanted to visit. Another day she took us to a small town to make a spectacular bike route, and little by little she showed us the city and surroundings. We chose the full board stay, which seemed easier for us to organize and take advantage of the conversations during lunch and dinner. We usually had picnics while making plans, always with total freedom of choice. For example, one of the days I went with the kids to London (it's 1 hour by train), she offered to prepare us a picnic, although we decided to eat there. Her food is very tasty, she cooks very well and totally adapts to your tastes, with plenty of legumes and vegetables, very varied and healthy. There is a Tesco supermarket a few meters from her house, but it's not necessary because her food is very nutritious. The house is very well located, with a bus stop next to it or a 15 or 20-minute walk to the center among gardens or along the riverbank. There is an amazing playground just 5 minutes away with a skate park included. Decorated very tastefully, with two floors; on the lower level, there is the living room, dining room, kitchen, and interior patio, and on the upper level, there are the two bedrooms and the bathroom. Our room had a large window to the outside, with a double bed and a single bed, and quite a bit of storage space. I had a great stay with Jeanne and Scott for a week. During the day, I was able to take care of the horses and ponies. I also went out almost every day. On the days we were at the farm all day, I helped with the farm work (grooming and feeding the ponies and horses, filling the water troughs, etc.). I was reading a book in English and doing English grammar lessons. I loved this stay, I recommend it.

Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. Through the lessons, I truly became more familiar with the English language, and daily immersion greatly improved my skills. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
