My son Victor (16 years old) spent 2 weeks at Suzanne's in Maltes in October. Two years ago it was Paul, my eldest. They were very well welcomed by the whole family. Suzanne is very pedagogical and her classes are of very good quality. My children made huge progress in English during their stay. They were also able to discover Maltes by doing a bit of sightseeing. In two years, it will be my youngest son's turn.

Euryell and Emie had a pleasant stay with Helen and Stephen (and their children). The lessons provided by Helen are truly of excellent quality and allowed them to make real progress (not to say a "good" one) in learning English. The atmosphere was friendly and warm, they were not left to their own devices. The food is good, with their participation in the preparation of the dishes. Despite the weather (almost all rain), Helen managed to keep them occupied throughout the stay. A very good way to learn English during this confinement period where travel is limited. I recommend a stay with Helen and I also recommend this type of stay.

I was very well settled, the room was very nice, my hosts were very available for me. Their friends were English (even the French spoke English!), everything was in English. A true immersion. I was able to do a lot of cycling (I had brought my own because I saw that Peter was a former cyclist), scrabble in English, fitness with Susan (it was nice). I had brought English readings, I watched movies in English, TV or Netflix documentaries. My hosts really took good care of me. Susan's lessons were very good, I made progress in writing; orally, I was more careful to make fewer mistakes. Very nice welcome and really matched what I wanted. Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

With the goal of improving my English, I chose to spend a week in total immersion in England, with intensive lessons. Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. Through the lessons, I truly became more familiar with the English language, and daily immersion greatly improved my skills. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
