Hi! My name is Adèle, I've been greatly welcomed by Ann during this summer for a 3 weeks stage from 6 to 27 of july 2019. It's an adorable women who made me visit places like the Brighton marina, London etc... She made me discover habits of the country, she took me shopping and I really enjoyed it. She, her husband and their dog Freddie are very friendly, endearing and listenning. The english lessons given by Ann are really interesting and the whole atmosphere is pleasant. One beautiful experience in an house by the sea, very calm who bring me a lot, as much in English as in human experience.

We were looking for an immersive summer internship, but in France, so that our children aged 11 and 13 could improve their English. Their classmates were of different nationalities, with 6 students for 3 adults supervising them. In just one week with James and Francine, the progress is incredible! Our 13-year-old daughter has seriously improved her accent, and both of them no longer have a block when it comes to speaking. They are now motivated to learn English. Since we all speak English for our work, we tried to speak in English from time to time at dinner. They took it as a punishment. Today it’s a game! Rebecca hosted my daughter Laia twice in her home in the south-west of France. First of all, it was very easy to communicate with her to arrange the stay. At the time, Laia was only 9 years old and it was her first experience in an English family, so we had to make sure everything would go well. Upon our arrival, everything went as planned. The house was clean, spacious, and the family was very friendly towards us and Laia. Our daughter played a lot with the family's children, and she was offered various activities both indoors and outdoors every day, so she was never bored. As for the food, there was nothing to worry about; she always had well-cooked, good-quality meals. The following year, we didn't hesitate for a second. Since Laia was excited to go back, we registered her a second time. If I had to recommend a family, I would say that Rebecca's is one of the best my children have known. Nadeeka and her family were truly amazing. They took care of me as just like a member of family. It’s not only the time while I was staying, we still keep in close touch with each other. When I stayed at her place, I didn’t know anything about the U.S because this was the first stay for me as an international student in the U.S. They taught me literally everything, such as how to take a bus, open a bank account, help me to speak English etc... J'ai séjourné chez Melissa pendant deux semaines en juillet 2018. Pendant mon séjour, j'étais la plupart du temps la seule étudiante là (pendant mes deux premiers jours, il y avait une fille espagnole avec moi). J'ai vraiment passé un excellent moment chez Melissa, nous avons fait de nombreuses activités comme aller à la plage, visiter un château à proximité, marcher dans la forêt ou aller au cinéma, ou simplement sortir tous ensemble le soir. On peut imaginer qu'avec trois jeunes enfants dans la maison, les vacances ne seront pas si charmantes, mais les enfants étaient vraiment gentils avec moi et c'était plutôt amusant de m'occuper d'eux et de jouer avec eux. Cela ne m'a pas empêché de profiter de mon séjour. Ce que j'ai le plus aimé pendant mon voyage ce sont les paysages avec de nombreuses collines et sa beauté à laquelle je ne suis pas habituée car je vis près de Paris.

Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). With the goal of improving my English, I chose to spend a week in total immersion in England, with intensive lessons. Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
