I had a very pleasant stay, the family is welcoming, caring, and very attentive. It really allowed me to improve my English and especially to learn a lot of vocabulary. The family members are very open to discussion, sometimes sharing moments of laughter. The setting is nice in the countryside near Killarney, which I was able to visit; there are particularly beautiful lakes suitable for walks. They had me do several activities like horseback riding, and we also went to a traditional festival "Puck Fair." I want to thank this family so much for hosting me.

Hello! I'm Chloé, I'm 18, I'm a French student and I stayed 2 weeks in Avril's house during summer 2025. I recommend a lot this family if you want to discover lots of things! I really enjoyed the family! Avril and Paddy are kind people and we had lots of discussions every day about different subjects, it's really great if you want to improve your English in different fields! You are really free in this house and you feel good really quick, they will help you for everything if you need! During your moments at home, you can talk, play with the children or take some rest in your bedroom if you want time for you. Stay downstairs with the family is of course the best option for a joyful evening! I liked to go outside with the children (park + playground), it's a moment of English and you also meet kind people. For the excursions, County Mayo and County Galway are really beautiful with the Connemara’s landscapes. I liked both excursions with the family and excursions by myself with the Au Pair/other student hosted. Avril and Paddy are really open-minded and they will bring you to many places to visit and always listen to your projects helping you to achieve them. The transports (both trains and buses) are near the house and you can trust the network! I just have to say: enjoy your trip in Avril’s house! Chloé

The stay in Ireland with my son's host family was a truly successful experience. Béatrix was a wonderful mother for our son. Arno lacked nothing; he was able to participate in lots of activities, walks, and cultural outings. Arno came back absolutely delighted with his stay! For his birthday, Béatrix made a birthday cake for Arno, and they even gave him gifts! I highly recommend this experience with this truly wonderful family. Tramore is a beautiful city offering many activities and entertainment, such as roller coasters and walks. The house is located near a bird park where you can observe many species of birds. Linguifamily was attentive and helped me organize this exchange.

I am 16 years old and I just spent 2 unforgettable weeks on vacation with Angela. It’s a family with a big heart who came to pick me up at the airport and made me feel at ease. They took me to many wonderful places like Salerno, Naples, the Amalfi Coast… which allowed me to really discover Italy. Everything was really perfect: My son Louis was very warmly welcomed and came back delighted from his 2-week stay this summer. Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

With the goal of improving my English, I chose to spend a week in total immersion in England, with intensive lessons. Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. Through the lessons, I truly became more familiar with the English language, and daily immersion greatly improved my skills. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
