Dès notre arrivée, Catherine nous a fait sentir complètement chez nous. Notre objectif principal était de pratiquer le français, et elle a créé l'environnement parfait pour cela. Elle nous a patiemment guidés avec la grammaire et la prononciation lors des conversations quotidiennes, que ce soit dans la voiture, en se promenant, en partageant des repas, en jouant à des jeux ou en discutant avec ses amis. Tout semblait naturel et encourageant. Catherine a été incroyablement généreuse avec son temps et a fait tout son possible pour nous donner autant d'opportunités que possible de parler français. Elle nous a également présentés à ses amis et voisins, ce qui nous a permis de pratiquer avec différentes personnes et accents, rendant l'expérience encore plus riche et immersive. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les repas sains et faits maison, et la soirée raclette avec ses amis et voisins a été un véritable point fort. Nous avons adoré explorer les villages voisins, visiter les marchés de Noël et faire de longues promenades quotidiennes avec Catherine et son chien Java, et à d'autres occasions avec Célia ou l'un des amis de Catherine. Le ramassage et le dépôt à l'arrêt de bus étaient extrêmement pratiques et très appréciés. Dans l'ensemble, ce séjour chez l’habitant a été une expérience exceptionnelle. Catherine crée un environnement chaleureux, accueillant et vraiment immersif pour quiconque souhaite améliorer son français. Nous recommanderions vivement sa maison aux apprenants de langues et aimerions y revenir à l'avenir.

I spent about ten days with Fatima and Fiachra, and this stay was incredible. A wonderful week our first time in Malaga via a Linguifamily spanish immersion stay with Pascale and our thanks to both. Like other guests we found Pascale to be a kind and interesting host, someone who enjoys sharing the things she loves about the area. When exploring by ourselves we found public transport easy (bus stop to the centre just a few minutes walk away). You can see from her photos that Pascale’s beautiful flat is spacious, light and bright, and we found it to be comfortable, well equipped (down to hairdryer in our private bathroom), tranquil and secure. Pascale’s cooking is amazing so every dinner was a treat and we’ve brought home a few tips to try. Highly recommended.

I stayed with Francesco and Giulio with the primary objective of improving my spoken Italian. They live in a lovely house, with views out to the sea. My accommodation was really comfortable, with a private bathroom and the use of a second sitting area and terrace, where I did my homework under the blue Italian sky. My hosts were a complete delight - charming, intelligent, well travelled and very knowledgeable about their region and Italian culture. We went to their lovely local town of Pesaro, nearby Fano and the beautiful city of Urbino and I visited local museums and galleries to see the extraordinary collections of Italian art. I had lessons with Francesco, who was helpful and patient with my basic Italian and in addition to homework exercises, set me projects to discover more about the area. I was completely immersed in the life of an Italian family - we ate together, walked the dog, went on visits to local markets, the cinema, visited friends and had lunch with their family. Francesco and Giulio couldn’t have done more to make it a really enriching experience. Highly recommended!

At the end of September, I had a wonderful week with Vega: in the mornings I studied and in the afternoons I went out to explore the city. Vega adapts very well to my level of Spanish (B1) and helps me learn the vocabulary necessary for my job, in addition to sharing with me the history and culture of Mallorca/Spain. Her apartment is perfectly located, right in the center of Palma, so you can walk to the museum and the historic center, and it's also very easy to catch the bus to go to the beach or the train to Sóller. Her cat, Dorita, is a sweetheart and purrs all the time. I recommend Vega for her patience, her ability to adapt the classes to your desires, and her great cultural wealth.

Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

With the goal of improving my English, I chose to spend a week in total immersion in England, with intensive lessons. Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. Through the lessons, I truly became more familiar with the English language, and daily immersion greatly improved my skills. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
