The moments shared, simple, sincere, and warm will remain very beautiful memories for me. These six weeks have been a great step on my learning journey. My English has improved. I’m not leaving bilingual, of course, but I am leaving with a little extra, more confidence, and especially one less blockage, which is already a big step thanks to this caring environment. I had the chance to spend a wonderful week at Myriam's in France – a week filled with pleasure, sports, culture, and precious moments. From the first day, we went to Turin. We had coffee in a superb rococo-style café and enjoyed the elegant atmosphere of the place. In the evening, we savored a delicious pierrade – a friendly and gourmet start to this beautiful week. On the second day, we went on a magnificent hike in impressive nature. The fresh air, grand landscapes, and our conversations made this day particularly special. In the evening, we attended a concert by Radio M – a great atmosphere and lively music! Of course, skiing was also part of the highlights. The slopes were amazing, and the sun was shining. A truly exceptional moment was the "light concert on the slope" – an unforgettable light show. After a perfect day on the skis, we ended the evening around a fondue, followed by a movie – simply perfect. The week was also rich in culture: we visited the Egyptian museum as well as the cinema museum – two fascinating and very impressive visits. An excursion to Briançon completed this beautiful week. We strolled through the streets, did a little shopping, and visited the fortress. The mix of history, charming little shops, and alpine panorama was absolutely magnificent. This week was a perfect combination of sports, culture, gastronomy, and friendship. Thank you, dear Myriam, for these unforgettable moments!

A wonderful stay and total immersion in French Veronique is an open, warm and generous person as well as an excellent host. She was very attentive and planned activities and visits according to my interests. This really was a total immersion experience whereby all communication was in French. We were able to discuss a wide range of subjects and I certainly learned a lot of new vocabulary and phrases! Veronique spoke clearly and was good at explaining words and concepts whenever I was stuck or needed help. Toulouse is a beautiful, dynamic and interesting city with lots to see and do. It has a compact city centre and a fantastic public transport system, enabling visitors to explore it easily. During my week-long stay, we went to several museums, exhibitions, historical sites and even a concert. We also visited the charming town of Albi, with its own museum dedicated to the works of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. The stay has boosted my motivation to continue learning French and I hope to return for another stay with Veronique in the future.

Véronique is extremely kind, she was an amazing and generous host! It was lovely spending time with her, talking about everything--life, family, cooking, cats :) We went to art galleries, saw a movie, and did some touristic activities in Toulouse. I had an excellent time speaking French with her, she helped me find words and use the correct grammar when I had problems, and she gave me workbook resources that I could use in my free time to improve my grammar and spelling while I was there. I have just returned from an amazing week staying with Pascale in her beautiful apartment in Malaga. It’s in a great location overlooking the city with wonderful views of the sea and is really comfortable. Pascale is a great host and made me feel really at home. She created lovely breakfasts and delicious evening meals spent over a glass of wine and chat, helping me to practise my Spanish. She also provided me with great ideas for places to visit in and around Malaga and even took me up into the mountains in the rocky national park. She also has an adorable dog who was keen to play in the garden. I would totally recommend her as an excellent, generous and attentive host.

Isaías and Susana welcomed myself and my two small children (3 and 4 years old) into their home with open arms, a big smile and a warm heart. They were patient and accommodating of our needs as a young family and we had so much fun together. The children had a wonderful time trying Spanish food (the gazpacho was a huge hit, even in winter!) and the family catered so nicely. We had two wonderful evening trips to Madrid and Toledo, experiencing the end of the Christmas/ Epiphany celebrations. Isaías and Susan also gave us a really authentic experience of Reyes Magos - the Arrival of the Three Kings - a real special experience for the children. Cabalgatas, Roscón y Regalos. Afortunada! Isaías y Susana were lovely, patient teachers of Spanish, gently correcting pronunciation and helping become familiar with important words and phrases. It was thanks to their patience that I was able to come away feeling that my Spanish had improved. The accommodation was comfortable and spacious, giving us our own space which was appreciated given how excited/tired/emotional the children can get. Muchos Gracias!

Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). With the goal of improving my English, I chose to spend a week in total immersion in England, with intensive lessons. Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
