Stephanie and her family are fantastic! My son (16) spent a week with them and he absolutely loved it! The location was excellent, close to quaint picturesque villages as well as the vibrant big city, Aix en Provence. Stephanie’s house was absolutely beautiful, spacious rooms and big swimming pool. Stephanie and her family were fantastic hosts- they spoke French with my son the whole time, helping him with the language through daily life such as family time, pool fun, cooking together, BBQs, as well as special activities such as time at the beach, playing padel, and sight seeing in the area. He also really enjoyed borrowing their bicycle and exploring the town and area. Stephanie is an excellent communicator- we had good contact before my son’s week there, she answered all our questions, was very helpful with information, and we felt very comfortable leaving our son in her hands. She kept us up-to-date throughout the week and we really appreciated her great communication. Stephanie and her family are warm and welcoming, and my son felt very comfortable the whole time. His French really improved and he had such an amazing experience. We highly recommend this language home stay, it is an absolute gem.

I was able to stay with Susana and Isais, who warmly welcomed me into their large, quiet, and comfortable home. They offered me various activities while respecting my physical limits. We discussed my very particular diet, which is fat-free and salt-free due to my health issues, and they showed a lot of goodwill in adapting to this fundamental need for me. Pascale was a wonderful host from the warm welcome on the first day to the departure at the airport. Friendly reception, very diverse and interesting conversation topics, Pascale knows Malaga and its region very well, there are many visiting proposals, plenty of choices, and she guides us very well on transportation options. The living environment is very pleasant, the breakfasts outside with a view of the sea are special moments. Pascale knows how to host and is a very good cook, a delight. Regarding the Spanish language, the host shows great patience with pronunciation. A stay to repeat.

I stayed with her for about ten days to immerse myself in daily life and learn French. I am very grateful to her. Thanks to her, I now have a home in Toulouse. First, the prior changes reassured me. A major demonstration had been announced throughout France, but I was unaware of it. She informed me and proposed to change my departure date. As I planned to go to another city, I was able to avoid the demonstration! Next, the days composed of a class in the morning and a walk around the city in the afternoon were perfect. I was able to enjoy our exchanges even though I was still making many mistakes in French, as she has extensive experience in teaching French. I had a lot of fun discovering Toulouse thanks to her explanations. Having the chance to see a film in a traditional cinema was also wonderful. She also took me to see some educational institutions in France that interested me, as I was thinking about my future path. Finally, I had planned a little excursion in the Pyrenees in advance, and her organization was excellent. I am very grateful to her for her driving and support. In summary, before and during my stay, she listened to all my requests and responded to them attentively. She is warm, full of humor, very organized, and always foresighted. That’s why I had a stay at her place with total comfort and without any stress. I hope my experience will help you plan a pleasant stay in France.

My daughter Rose (17 years old) has just returned from a 10-day stay with Mary and Derry where she received a warm welcome. Mary organizes an outing every day, more or less long, which allows for discovering the surroundings and local culture. Mary gives daily updates on the activity done. Rose had forgotten her slippers, and Mary kindly offered her a pair. For the evening meals taken with the family (breakfasts and lunches being taken separately), Mary prepared a special salad for Rose, who loves vegetables and raw foods. Rose was able to interact with all the family members, especially with Mary and Derry, as well as the two younger children (with whom she could play board games, in particular). The older children, more of Rose's age, were generally busy elsewhere. One afternoon, one of the older children kindly helped Rose onto his horse.

Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

With the goal of improving my English, I chose to spend a week in total immersion in England, with intensive lessons. Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. Through the lessons, I truly became more familiar with the English language, and daily immersion greatly improved my skills. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
