26-year-old student, I spent 5 weeks with this lovely family in every way, very friendly, caring, and adaptable, who really helped me improve my English. Guaranteed total immersion (only one French student at a time) with many outings with English people. It really feels like being in England while being in France! It was wonderful. Regarding the lessons, I was also completely satisfied: Julie was able to adapt to my requests and identify my needs. Moreover, I was able to go to their school, talk with teachers, natives, and attend classes. They welcomed me very kindly. Indeed I felt right away part of their family! They are very nice and culturally open people. Michelle is a fabulous cook (as well as Matt with his amazing hamburgers, or better his Mattburgers), she is also an amazing artist and while I was there she taught me how to use a pyrography tool. Matt is a survival expert, after work we often went into the woods near Nottingham and he taught me a lot about plants and animals, in common we shared the passion for aquariums and on a weekend we went to visit a fish store!

They were very welcoming and I felt part of the family since the first day. Michelle is the perfect mum: very patient, lovely and always available for any kind of difficulties. Michelle is also one of the best cookers I have ever known; she can prepare ethnical dishes from all the world, from Italy to Asia or South America. Matt is a great dad and also an amazing friend. I used to walk the dogs with him and play board games during the evenings. He is funny, reliable and very kind. Matt is also the best burger maker in England and I had the luck to try one of his perfect burgers. I spent with them three weeks; from Monday to Friday I had free time only in the evenings and we used to spend that time improving my English, talking about everything like a normal family but they were aware of my mistakes. On weekends instead we used to do trips around Nottingham. They were perfect city guides too.

I stayed with Michelle and Matt for 2 weeks, they were very welcoming with me, I remember that the first evening that I was there, there was a family party and they were all so nice, it was like I was part of the family! They showed me many things in Nottingham. I want also say that Michelle is an incredible cook! Besides, at the time, I wasn’t very confident about my English grammar, so Michelle and Matt helped me a lot about that, teaching me many things that I didn’t know. They were very present during my stay at they’re house, almost every night, if we didn’t go out in the city centre, we played a lot of table games.

Our son Yohan spent 15 days at Mélissa and Colin's this summer. He was very well welcomed by the whole family and felt comfortable from the first days. A perfect stay. Lynne is a charming and lovely person, very available and an excellent cook as well. The house is very spacious, quiet, and pleasant. The common living areas are perfect for accommodating everyone and fostering moments of sharing in English among people of such different nationalities. The bus stop to get to classes and the city is at the foot of the house. Leeds and its surroundings are wonderful to discover: Leeds with its mostly free museums, Harrogate, Knaresborough... and by train York or Liverpool. I will definitely return (for the record, I am 60 years old! and yes, it's possible at any age).

Jeanne (16 years old) and Jules (17 years old) stayed for 2 weeks in Palma and returned thrilled with their stay at Magda's and her children's home. They were able to fully immerse themselves in the Spanish language while being so well integrated into the family that they felt like they were in ours. Besides Magda, Miquel, and Maria, the children, they interacted with Carmen and Pedro, the lovely grandparents who live nearby their daughter, as well as the dog Willema and not to forget the rabbit Tofol. I start by saying a sweet home because Lynne is undoubtedly all love, we gather at the table every day to have dinner together and talk, and one day before one of the roommates leaves, a special farewell gathering is organized, and everyone gives a positive message about the person leaving the home. She, Lynne, is a wonderful woman who loves what she does, she has a giant heart and is always attentive to ensure that we are all well, perhaps she is not aware of all the affection she gives, and without a doubt, all of us who have passed through her life have kept her love. There is no price that can pay for that immense love. About the house, it is a beautiful place with gardens and games, and you can eat the fruit directly from the tree. Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
