She is very serious, diligently follows the necessary administrative procedures to enter the country, and carefully prepares for the young person's welcome in her home, where they have a bedroom and a personal bathroom, as well as all the necessary living essentials. Mike, with our permission, took her to discover the desert by motorbike and Polaris. All the reserved activities were carried out in a good mood and safely. The two cousins, aged 17 and 15, stayed for 2 weeks (August) at Sue's. Sue provides a very comfortable room space and the house is in the countryside. This was a first experience for our daughters. Their apprehension quickly dissipated from the very first contact. Sue is very friendly and welcoming. Sue and her family make themselves accessible to their guests who do not speak the language. Although shy (and together in this family), the girls were verbally engaged and thus undeniably progressed a little in the language. We had neither planned nor requested any specific activities. Depending on the family schedule, Sue proposed varied activities (hurling camp, cinema, independent shopping in Dublin, walks around Gorey, visits, etc.). The girls had choices and confirmed outings based on their desires. They experienced weeks paced by MJ and Jean’s sports schedule, family gatherings, or moments with friends. The culinary culture, in contrast to their French habits, required some effort to adapt, but that is the very principle of immersion! We did not include any courses voluntarily. The main idea was family immersion simply, and it was very successful! The pick-up at the airport (round trip) is reassuring for us parents. Sue came to pick them up at the airport and did not hesitate to accompany them to check-in for the return. Thanks to Sue, Davy, and their children for their warm welcome. Thanks to this positive first experience, the girls are ready to go back.

Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
