I greatly enjoyed my stay with Graeme and Rosangela! Graeme responded well to my request to focus the English lessons on improving my pronunciation. He developed a different area of work each day and I left with resources to continue working on my own. Before my stay, we had corresponded to define my needs in terms of lesson content and hours. Graeme and Rosangela's house was perfect for an adult's stay: I was accommodated in a spacious and independent room. This allowed me to have breakfast with Graeme and Rosangela, take my lesson with Graeme in the morning, and then organize the rest of the day as I pleased. The dinner time was set for 7 PM, which gave me time for my visits in central London. Graeme and Rosangela were also very accommodating to make sure my stay went as well as possible. I spent 10 days with Elaine and Victor and it was an incredible and very enriching experience. They are lovely! I came with the goal of improving my English and thanks to Elaine's private lessons, I was able to make progress in a short time; she is very pedagogical and adapts to each person. We had great moments with their families, discovering Maltese specialties as well as sharing moments with their children. Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

With the goal of improving my English, I chose to spend a week in total immersion in England, with intensive lessons. Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. Through the lessons, I truly became more familiar with the English language, and daily immersion greatly improved my skills. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
