My stay from July 23 to July 30, 2023 with John and Patsy in Cork went very well. The welcome was perfect, the house was very comfortable and tastefully furnished, the room provided was very good. The area is very quiet, there is a bus stop not far to get to town, but you can also walk there because the center is not very far. I shared John and Patsy's life for a week and everything went very well. Their dog Mr. Bailey was adorable. Patsy and John are very open people and there were many interesting conversations. John's English lessons were well organized and very useful. Besides his skills as a teacher, John also deserves the title of chef and I really enjoyed the meals he prepared. My stay included guided tours. John took care of these beyond my expectations, acting as my guide, and introduced me to very beautiful places. This stay really made me want to return to Ireland to get to know the country better. Thank you Patsy and John.

Carola and Pedro are charming, attentive, considerate, and cultured hosts. They welcomed me like a friend and I immediately felt at ease. With them, all topics of conversation are possible, in a Spanish that they helped me to make more fluid and precise. Carola patiently sought out all the information regarding the most amazing visits in Zaragoza and the surrounding areas that I wanted to make, and Pedro was waiting for me upon my return so I could tell him all about it! I learned almost everything about the culture of vegetables, legumes, grains, and fruit trees..., about duck farming and the irrigation system in place in Spain and more specifically in this region of Aragón; also about the connections between ecology and economy... I had a pleasant stay within a family where calm and kindness prevail.

My son Henry, with a low level of English, went to Amber reluctantly, not really wanting to leave the family home; he came back completely delighted with the two weeks spent with teenagers his age, some French and others foreign. Besides the warm welcome and kindness of Amber, the camaraderie that developed among the young people, my son took a liking to English; on the way back, he couldn't stop speaking English and playing with the app that Amber had suggested. With a year until the baccalaureate, I regret not having sent him earlier; in just two weeks, his level and curiosity for the language have completely changed. Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

With the goal of improving my English, I chose to spend a week in total immersion in England, with intensive lessons. Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. Through the lessons, I truly became more familiar with the English language, and daily immersion greatly improved my skills. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
