Hello!
We are Kirstie and Steve and we live in rural France with our 2 cats Sidney & Petra. We are 5 minutes from the pretty town of Moncontour, 15 minutes from Loudun and 40 minutes from Chinon in the Loire Valley - So much history on our doorstep to visit!
At home we love listening to music, watching films, playing table tennis and board games and also enjoy walking around the local towns and villages. We enjoy hosting students and helping to improve their English, with Kirstie teaching English (TEFL Qualified) if you would like lessons along with your stay. Kirstie hand makes greeting cards and gifts, selling them at local shops and markets. We have a 25 year old daughter who is a teacher in England, but loves to visit us in France as often as she can.
We will all have breakfast together, followed by a game of table tennis or a walk depending on your preference.
English lessons are usually in the morning, leaving our afternoons free to enjoy activities such as swimming, karting, walking, horse riding lessons, visiting local museums, Chateaus or markets.
We can prepare meals together and bake cakes.
We like to play games such as Scrabble, Dominoes and Yahtzee, as well as watching films and TV series on our big TV screen, we have Netflix, Disney+ and all English TV channels.
Kirstie loves arts and crafts, (as well as Harry Potter!) and you can have fun painting a canvas, a flower pot or making a greeting card.
Steve has a huge passion for WW2 history and James Bond films.
You would stay in a lovely king size bed with your own en-suite, overlooking the garden.

Je suis très satisfait de mon séjour chez Kirstie et Steeve, ils ont été adorables et ils ont tout fait pour que me sente totalement à l’aise. Leur maison et la région sont très agréables et j’ai apprécié avoir une chambre confortable avec une salle de bain indépendante. Nous avons fait beaucoup d’activités (visites de musée et de château, balades, karting, ping pong, scrabble, films, cartes de vœux et cuisine) et cela a été un parfait dépaysement très british en totale immersion. J’ai suivi des cours personnalisés avec Kirstie et j’ai apprécié tous les plats qu’ils ont préparés notamment « The best salmon sandwiches in Europe » de Steeve ! J’ai progressé en vocabulaire et en conversation, ce qui était mon objectif. Cela restera comme une expérience bénéfique et une belle rencontre avec des hôtes très attachants.
J'ai passé une super semaine chez Kirstie et Steve, ils sont très patients et très gentils, prennent le temps d'expliquer, j'ai appris de nouveaux mots et expressions. Ils ont toujours été avec moi et disponibles pour toutes activités (basket, tennis de table, jeu de sociétés, piscine, visite de châteaux ... l’environnement est très calme, ma chambre très spacieuse et confortable. J'ai apprécié cette formule en pleine immersion, et je recommande vivement cette expérience chez Kirstie et Steve.
