We had started looking for a stay very late (1 month in advance) and we were lucky to find accommodation with Erica's family. From our first contacts, we immediately felt confident and the communication was very good to get to know each other and then organize the dates and travel arrangements. The stay went very well, our son came back with a lot of good memories from those 2 weeks. The whole family was attentive and made him feel comfortable as soon as he arrived. They completely integrated him into their daily life and vacations, outings, and activities. No one in Erica's family spoke French. Our son did not want Spanish lessons; the continuous immersion with a group of children of various ages and available adults allowed him to express himself and gain spontaneity. Our daughter Jeanne (13 and a half years old) spent a week (immersively) with Rebecca and Andrew in Périgord (and their adorable little dog). She was very satisfied with the warm welcome, comfortable accommodation, and the activities she participated in: among other things, cooking at home (she enjoyed the prepared dishes), watching movies and playing board games in English, visiting tourist and cultural sites, dining in restaurants and cafes, going for walks, and English lessons tailored to the exam she will take next year (Cambridge preliminary exam). It is worth noting that Rebecca has all the qualifications and extensive teaching experience, and she was very involved with Jeanne. The kindness, total availability, professionalism, and empathy shown by Rebecca and Andrew were remarkable, and Jeanne felt completely at ease with them, especially since they adapted to her needs (she is not sporty, for example, which excluded overly physical activities). By nature shy, Jeanne allowed herself to express herself much more orally in English, which boosted her confidence. The use of French was strictly limited to the words she did not understand, and she was immersed entirely in the English language. I can only enthusiastically recommend this stay with Rebecca and Andrew, which is a serious and more affordable alternative to a stay abroad.

My daughter Klervi, who is 14 and a half, stayed with Sharron and her husband for a week and came back enchanted! The couple was full of kindness and care for Klervi and her friend. They took them to restaurants and did activities every day. Additionally, they were able to enjoy the pool at the house, and the food was excellent! Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

With the goal of improving my English, I chose to spend a week in total immersion in England, with intensive lessons. Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. Through the lessons, I truly became more familiar with the English language, and daily immersion greatly improved my skills. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
