I had an excellent stay for a week in December at Elaine and Victor's. They are very attentive. The lessons given by Elaine were beneficial. Beautiful sunshine and Victor is a good cook. My first language immersion stay was at Maitane and Antonio's house. The experience was worth it. From my arrival, they were attentive to me and provided all the facilities for me to feel comfortable. The house is spacious and very cozy in a tranquil environment ideal for studying and practicing. Additionally, it is well connected with a train station less than 5 minutes away. This train takes you to the center of Bilbao in 10 minutes. Furthermore, this train line goes from the Biscay coast to San Sebastián, stopping in very beautiful coastal towns in Guipúzcoa and Biscay. The road connections are also very well communicated and easily accessible. You also have the option of taking the bus. As for the breakfasts, lunches, and dinners at Maitane and Antonio's house, they were homemade and very delicious. Regarding the language immersion, I wanted to practice my English. And I was able to do so; I could practice it, and they had the patience to go at my pace. They resolved all the doubts I had with the language and gave me tips to improve it. The days I spent there were very well utilized. I will definitely return to continue improving my level of English and enjoy a stay to disconnect from the routine.

Melissa and her family are so nice, patient, and welcoming. My daughter enjoyed every moment with Melissa, Colin and their 3 children, and a spanish girl who stayed there for a couple of months. They had activities every day and children are really nice. Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

With the goal of improving my English, I chose to spend a week in total immersion in England, with intensive lessons. Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. Through the lessons, I truly became more familiar with the English language, and daily immersion greatly improved my skills. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
