My son (14) says this homestay experience deserves five stars. He went on lots of trips. On some of them, he went to locations of historical interest, so he got to learn about the area in more depth. He also enjoyed his interactions with the farm animals. He was particularly fond of the dog and the lambs. Also, he said the home gym was a plus (he loves working out). Thumbs up on the food - especially Mary’s mashed potato. He says they are a lovely family. Very hospitable. Easygoing. All in all, it was a very peaceful stay, and he could refresh. Emma, 13 years old, was welcomed by Sue in April. Her stay went very well. Sue and Davy are very kind. Her stay was sporty, with many outdoor activities. Emma really enjoyed the weekend camping with activities such as mini golf and laser tag, football matches... and walks on the beach in the evening. The children MJ and Jean are very kind. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Carola and her family. 1. Thoughtfulness and care Carola anticipated anything I could possibly need and always made sure things were organized and clear. Any problems or issues I had, she and the family always found a way to figure it out and help me. I always felt like a really welcome and valued family guest. 2. Learning Spanish I had hit a plateau with my Spanish before this trip. Working with Carola helped change that very quickly. It's not just that she's patient and has a very kind and gentle sense of humor. We were able to really quickly simplify a lot of Spanish grammar which had previously been a stumbling block for me. 3. Good times Carola was able to organize tennis lessons for me at a great club in Zaragoza. I went along with Pedro to his chess club and lost to 12 year old kids. There was a magic show in town! Penaflor is definitely a small village. But the key is the people. Just going along to the local bar and having a chat with the locals was great fun. And of course, there are so many stories from the family. Sitting during and after dinner talking about all the family gossip, village gossip etc was hilarious. Going through the family photo albums was also great fun. A really great experience. Thank you again!

J'ai passé 6 mois avec la famille d'Anita pendant mes études en 2020. C'est une belle maison indépendante, spacieuse et accueillante. Les propriétaires ont vraiment fait en sorte que je me sente à l'aise dès mon arrivée. J'ai réussi à améliorer mon anglais grâce aux longues conversations que nous avons eues lors des repas ensemble. La nourriture était toujours vraiment bonne. La maison est également bien située près de Clara, une petite ville d'où vous pouvez facilement rejoindre les principales villes d'Irlande grâce à la gare à proximité. À Clara, vous pouvez trouver une salle de sport, une bibliothèque et un parc. Je recommande chaleureusement cette famille dont je garderai toujours un bon souvenir.

My name is David Logan, and I am writing you today to give my full and total recommendation of Beatríz and Javier as host parents for your organization. I have known Javi and Bea since 2013 when I studied abroad in Segovia for the summer. Given that this was my first time outside of the United States, I was very nervous about what life in another country would be like. Nevertheless, as my host family, they helped me seamlessly integrate into Spanish culture and society during my stay. To this day, I count them as close friends, and they are, in large part, the reason that I now live in Spain with my partner. Javi and Bea, along with their wider, extended family, are respectful, open-minded people with a true international perspective. Their kindness and openness to others, along with their passion for seeing people achieve the most they can in life, showed me that I could make my dream of living long-term in Spain a reality. In my opinion, there are no other people who would make better host parents for your organization than Javi and Bea. Their children, Nico and Nora, are amazing young people, each with unique talents and interests. For students who would be living with them in Segovia, there would be no shortage of new friends to make and new experiences to be had. The family as a whole is outgoing and people-oriented. With this in mind, potential students will have numerous opportunities to practice Spanish in diverse contexts and with different people. Finally, it must be mentioned that Segovia is an absolutely stunning place to experience. From the Cinderella-style castle, to the Roman aqueduct, there are numerous architectural and cultural monuments for visitors to explore. Given all of these reasons, Javi, Bea, Nico, and Nora will make a wonderful host family for international students.

Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
