Our 17-year-old daughter stayed for 3 weeks in August with Elaine and Victor. The welcome was perfect. We were able to meet them in person and can only testify to the kindness of their hospitality and our total trust in entrusting them with our minor daughter. Elaine is very attentive and organizes the stay so that the child is independent in their movements and can visit many places in Malta. The English courses given by Elaine are a bonus and allow the child to progress more quickly in oral comprehension and dialogue. Meeting other young people staying at the same time with Elaine and Victor helps create connections, and the young people organize outings together. Finally, the house is very pleasant and very clean. Elaine cooks very well, but perhaps a bit too much for our daughter who has the appetite of a sparrow. Hello, Last July, I started a volunteer program in Michele's house. I've been helping Michele with her accommodation/guests and renovating her house. I was planning to stay just one month, but I ended up staying August too. Michele is a lovely and caring woman, who made me feel always like home. I enjoy a lot spending time with her; visiting other villages, going to places where we could swim, restaurants... And of course, I had an amazing opportunity to improve my English. Michele is very easygoing, funny and kind; so we talked about anything, and she helped me to learn more and explained me everything I asked her. I definitely recommend going to Michele's place to practice and learn English, because in my experience; I had a wonderful time.

My grandson worked with Boris and Susan for a year while he was a student in Greece (when he was 14), and then Boris worked with him for two years when he was a student at Malvern College in the UK. Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). With the goal of improving my English, I chose to spend a week in total immersion in England, with intensive lessons. Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
