I am very satisfied with my stay with Kirstie and Steeve, they were lovely and did everything to make me feel completely at ease. Their house and the area are very pleasant and I appreciated having a comfortable room with a private bathroom. We did a lot of activities (visits to museums and castles, walks, go-karting, ping pong, scrabble, movies, greeting cards and cooking), and it was a perfect change of scenery, very British, in total immersion. I took personalized classes with Kirstie and I enjoyed all the dishes they prepared, especially “The best salmon sandwiches in Europe” from Steeve! If you had to choose between Yvonne's family or any other family, I would tell you to go to Yvonne's house with your eyes closed. I spent 2 weeks and a half there, and I think that I had the most awesome experience ever. I was really integrated in the family, as if I had been there for years and years, and that helped so much with the fact that I was far from my home and family. I decided to book the immersion course in Spanish with Pilar because I wanted to push myself into speaking the language instead of just taking grammar classes online. Pilar is a warm and friendly lady, so I immediately felt comfortable with her as she encouraged me to join in conversation with her. Pilar’s lessons were tailor made for me, focusing on my weaknesses and building my confidence, and by the end of my visit I felt that I’d made good progress, and I definitely felt more confident in initiating conversation. The house is airy and spacious with a lovely view of the mountains from the terrace, and a swimming pool for a cooling dip. Pilar is a good cook and made fresh, typically Spanish dishes every day, working around her students’ dietary requirements, nothing was too much trouble for her. If you’re looking for a Spanish immersion course in a relaxing and homely setting, I thoroughly recommend this home stay.

Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

With the goal of improving my English, I chose to spend a week in total immersion in England, with intensive lessons. Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. Through the lessons, I truly became more familiar with the English language, and daily immersion greatly improved my skills. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
