My husband, my 14-year-old daughter, and I had a wonderful week of vacation with Karen in Asturias. We were able to experience a rich exchange by confronting our different cultures and had the joy of interacting with her niece Stacy, who is very nice. Karen is a charming and beautiful person in every way. She has a sense of hospitality, is cheerful and pleasant, and during our stay, we laughed a lot. Regarding the English language, she has a lot of patience and adapts to our level. Our daughter and my husband were able to speak and improve their English, which is what we wanted. As for myself, I found it beneficial because when I couldn't always find the English words, I would use the Spanish equivalent, which helped me make myself understood by Karen. Karen is an excellent cook, and we enjoyed sharing her specialties while also introducing her to ours. The house is pleasant, and the surroundings are exceptional for a very restful and peaceful vacation. Moreover, in Asturias, the Spaniards are very welcoming and open to tourists with their beautiful beaches. Hello, we are 2 sisters (13 and 14 years old) and it was our first time in Ireland. We had a blast! Catherine and her family are awesome. Catherine is very nice, dedicated and warm. Bryan is so funny and very food loving 😉, Eve and Grace are very welcoming and joyful. We did so many things like cooking for the dogs and the family (especially for Bryan), horse riding with the girls, shopping, exploring a giant maze, cycling… There are a lot of animals in the farm and it is awesome to take care of them. It is an experience we will always remember. You will have so much fun at Catherine’s. Do not hesitate to book, they are the best family. J’ai passé une semaine vraiment merveilleuse car j'ai eu l’opportunité de parler français toute la semaine et d'explorer la belle région. C’était vraiment une immersion complète en français et grâce à cela je sais que j’ai appris beaucoup de nouveaux mots en Français 😊. Toute la famille est très gentille, patiente et je me suis sentie très confortable pendant tout la durée de mon séjour. En particulier, j'ai beaucoup apprécié que nous avons mangé le dîner ensemble tous les jours, car nous parlions beaucoup de notre journée. Aussi j’ai aimé quand nos avons visité le village de Levens qui est très beau. Les cours de Français avec Frédéric ont été très utiles car j'ai pratiqué l'écriture et les exercices qu'il proposait étaient toujours très bons pour travailler la grammaire. Frédéric est un professeur très patient et il trouvait toujours une nouvelle façon d'expliquer si je ne comprenais pas la première fois. My daughter Lou spent 6 little days at Samantha's, but that was enough for her to leave the family with a heavy heart! Samantha was very attentive and spontaneously sent me news and photos daily. She took Lou on different visits to London, Chichester, Portsmouth, etc. She had her practice written and spoken English by fully integrating her into the family, which was very easy with her 4 sons, all very kind to Lou as well. Notre fille a passé 3 semaines chez Magda et tout a été formidable. Nous avons eu un premier contact avec Magda avant l’arrivée de notre fille par visio pour faire connaissance. Lors de ce premier contact nous étions déjà rassurés. Magda a l’habitude d’accueillir de jeunes adultes et adolescents chez elle et connait parfaitement les inquiétudes des parents. Elle est donc très rassurante et surtout garde un contact quasi quotidien par le biais de photos ou de messages. Du premier au dernier jour de son séjour Magda s’est toujours très bien occupée de notre fille. Les activités proposées étaient nombreuses et variées : cuisine, visite historique, danse, visite culturelle… Elle a partagé énormément avec notre fille sur la culture, le mode de vie et est toujours ouverte à la discussion. Notre fille s’est sentie en sécurité, bien accueillie et tout cela dans un excellent état d’esprit. Ses compétences linguistiques ont bien sur progressé et son aisance face à la langue s’est améliorée. Notre fille gardera un excellent souvenir de son séjour et de l’accueil dans la famille de Magda. Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
