My 15-year-old son spent 12 days at Samantha's and he really enjoyed the experience. English group lessons in the mornings, fun and interesting - which is not easy with teenagers - family life in English, games and group activities some afternoons, walks in London, Chichester, Portsmouth... Samantha and her family are very warm and considerate. It was my son's first solo trip and he felt comfortable right away. Samantha picked him up and dropped him off at the airport, she gave us daily updates to reassure us about the smooth running of the stay, in short, she took care of my son as one of her own. I spent two weeks of immersion at Anita’s home. It’s a very good immersive experience especially to be more confident and comfortable in English. You can learn a lot of vocabulary and everyday’s expressions. The quality of the lessons is very good and the choices of topics are related to your desires, your professional project, or studies… There are different forms of learning: lesson times with different topics, oral games, films, series and all the daily oral practice. The activities and outings are also opportunities to speak about other topics and learn more vocabulary. My son, just 11 years old (1 year of English at school), just spent a week immersed with Cathy and her daughter Beth. He loved it and was perfectly integrated into the family. He did a lot of outdoor activities, as he likes, with animals, plants, DIY, and cooking with them. He tells me: "it was sssuper good!!!!". Thank you very much to both of them for their attention; he felt like family. He was able to play indoor games and meet people in an English-speaking environment. Cathy and Beth are lovely, very attentive, kind, and warm, perfect for a young child. I just wanted an immersion without classes. With their patience, he made progress in English and can understand everyday situations quite well, and he was able to express himself normally thanks to their help. I stayed for 3 weeks with Maitane and Antonio. I was looking to improve my Spanish in the comfort of a welcoming and quiet family. That’s exactly what I found in this family. The lessons given by Maitane were tailored to my level and very interesting. I was able to take advantage of their outings in the city to visit Bilbao and Vitoria-Gasteiz. Antonio and Maitane are very welcoming people. It's very pleasant to discuss all topics with them. I was able to walk around in nature nearby, go to the pool, the river, do some gardening, and go to a nearby campsite to attend concerts. My two children who've each studied some four years of French in school did a joint stay with Delphine, Mathieu and their four children and their cat for a week; it was a wonderful first ever full linguistic and cultural immersion experience for them. Delphine's and Mathieu's family is very kind, welcoming and active, and the children had an absolutely fantastic time exploring a bit of everyday life in the French countryside mixed with a bit of special outings - and were both very happy with their time with the family and in France! We were also very impressed with how gently and wonderfully Delphine and Mathieu encouraged and supported the children to use their limited French. My friend and I had a fabulous time staying with Pilar for a week. She is friendly, gracious, hospitable and a wonderful Spanish teacher. We did many activities together - going to the beach, cooking, biking through Valencia, visiting the nearby castle and seeing the historic center of Valencia. All the time, speaking Spanish all day, every day. Her daughter Esmeralda came with 5 friends and spent a whole afternoon making paella, which was absolutely wonderful. Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

With the goal of improving my English, I chose to spend a week in total immersion in England, with intensive lessons. Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
