Welcome to Eileen family in Connemara

Hello from Connemara, we are a family of three. My dad is a stone mason by trade and we also have a small sheep farm. My mom works part time in Kylemore Abbey and myself Eileen attends Clifden Community School. We are a relaxed, easy-going family. My dad likes to spend a little time fishing and tending to his greenhouse. My mom likes to keep a very clean house and likes to cook and she also loves to spend time gardening. We also have a sheep dog to help on the farm, my mom doesn't let her in the house.

English is our first language, Irish very little. We can organize English lessons from home if needed. There is good bus service from Dublin Airport to Galway city, we can then collect there. Or if you wish, we can pick you up at the airport. Again we can be flexible with guests based on their interests and try to accommodate. Sports camps come and go throughout the summer, including Gaelic football and soccer. We are very close to the K2 adventure centre, so there are opportunities to plan a day there... The prices can be seen on their web page; no charge from us.

Life with your host family

Much depends on the student, a mild climate so if they like outdoors, walking, swimming, cycling then ideal. We have a bus service to Galway city daily but quite a distance. 80 min trip.
Local town is Clifden for shopping.

In my free time as we live beside the sea I love to swim every chance I get. I'm also learning how to play my guitar. I love to spend time with my friends and have them for a sleepover when we can. We take day trips to Galway city, the bus travels from the local village daily...
