From the moment they picked him up at the Eurostar station (which was incredibly smooth and convenient coming from the UK), he felt welcomed into their home and daily routines. The family's location is perfect - close enough to easily visit both Paris and Versailles, where they took him on numerous cultural outings to monuments and art exhibitions. These excursions were thoughtfully planned and provided excellent opportunities for him to practice French in real-world settings. Communication before and during his stay was prompt and clear, making the entire experience stress-free for us as parents. The family also took daily photos of their activities and shared them with us, allowing us to see our son enjoying himself and creating wonderful memories. This immersion experience offered everything we hoped for our son - a genuine glimpse into French family life, countless opportunities to practice the language, cultural exploration, and fun activities. I cannot recommend this family highly enough for anyone looking for an authentic and enriching French immersion experience for their child. Je ai passé 4 mois avec cette famille d'accueil et c'était une expérience généralement positive. J'avais ma propre chambre, les repas étaient bons, et la dame de la maison était très serviable : elle m'a trouvé un emploi dans un restaurant, ce qui m'a permis de pratiquer l'anglais tous les jours, et elle venait me chercher après le travail. What to start with? The welcome from Daina, James, and Harriet was excellent for having a great stay in their company! Daina was very involved in organizing the week’s program in advance, creating an intense stay for my two children, aged 10 and 13, and myself. Whether it was about activities or culinary experiences, we were... in total immersion! We participated in daily activities like cooking... yes, yes... English cooking, shopping, taking care of the chicken coop, dog walks, and after our exchanges... forest walks, climbing, visiting a farm, a football match, badminton, visiting Chester (which I recommend) and Liverpool, a water park or outdoor activities, roller disco party, first aid training, she will know how to delight you. Don't hesitate to ask Daina to organize a program tailored to your profile... as much as possible. A small park with children's games, a city stadium, sports workshops, and small paths for jogging are right at the foot of the house!!! The kids could play in complete peace, and I could do my jogging and sports activities daily! I returned on Sunday from a week of English immersion with Rébecca and Andrew (not to forget Aggi). I was welcomed in a really nice setting with very warm hosts who were always attentive. They made me feel at ease with continuous, constructive, and very diverse exchanges which allowed me to make significant progress. The sun was out, and I was able to enjoy their beautiful garden. We went for walks with Aggi in the woods, around the lakes, visited a castle, and had lunch at a restaurant. The surrounding landscape is superb. I also discovered English cuisine! Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

With the goal of improving my English, I chose to spend a week in total immersion in England, with intensive lessons. Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
