Hello, I recently had the opportunity to travel abroad at the end of last April, organized by my French high school as part of a Spanish European section. We were welcomed into a family. For my part, along with two of my friends, we stayed with a couple. It was a week that was both short and very enriching. I want to emphasize, having already had the opportunity to do an exchange of this type, that they are one of the most welcoming couples. They are attentive, patient in case of language barrier difficulties, great animal lovers, and maintain a very pleasant living space. They take the time to take care of you and your comfort for the entire stay. Even today, we are still in contact with them. They have everything to please, and without hesitation, on my next trip to Spain, I will go see them again.

I spent a week at Fiona's and I really appreciated several things: -Kind and very welcoming -Structured program for each day -Visits to several cities, monuments, restaurants, pubs, and more -Cosy, clean, functional house, you feel good there -Bus stop less than 2 minutes walk to go to the city center -Discovery of typical English dishes In conclusion, I would say it was a really cool week. I learned some things about English culture, I got familiar with the British accent, and I did a lot of things like visiting museums, cathedrals, going to the cinema, theater, and much more... I really think it’s worth it and I highly recommend this host who is really nice and takes care of her guests.

Our son, Jean, had a wonderful stay with Fiachra: full immersion (with lots of interaction and activities!), his Year-10 work placement validated by shadowing Fiachra at work, and a perfect relationship with Fiachra and his family (Jean truly felt like a member of the family!). And as the cherry on top, Fatima is an exceptional cook… Communication with Fiachra was very smooth before the stay, and the same goes for the Linguifamily team. In short, the perfect language stay!

With the goal of improving my English, I chose to spend a week in total immersion in England, with intensive lessons. Hello, I’m packing my bags to return to France after spending two weeks at Maria’s. The stay was very pleasant — the family welcomed me as if I were one of their own. Together with Maria, we went on six outings during which I discovered Malta’s monuments, hidden gems, and tourist sites. Through the lessons, I truly became more familiar with the English language, and daily immersion greatly improved my skills. I stayed for three weeks with Stephen and Helen in Donegal, Ireland. I experienced unforgettable moments with their family, and I learned about the cultural traditions of their region. It was an incredible experience. I also had the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Child Care Center, which allowed me to develop new skills (speaking English with 3-year-old children was a real challenge!). I warmly thank the whole family of Stephen for their hospitality, as well as Solène from Linguifamily, who pre-selected a host family that met both my objectives: a stay in Ireland AND volunteering. Linguifamily has developed a very good idea by allowing families to get in touch and organize language stays with each other. One must take the time to discuss and make sure everything 'matches' and organize the stay themselves (dates, travel, documents), but Linguifamily guides and reminds us of what we need to do. It’s different from the standard packages offered by other agencies. I find this enriching system because it strongly involves both families in the preparation. The first immersion stay (without lessons) for our son was perfect, and the Spanish host family was very attentive and fully integrated him into their daily life and vacation activities. He came back with great memories and is ready to go again.
