We are two professional people with a very active home. I work in childcare and my husband is a painter and decorator for the south east of Ireland. Our two children are 4 and 7 years of age and are very welcoming to new students and love new interactions with different nationalities. We are situated in a lovely quiet family estate less than 2km walk to the centre of Kilkenny. We live in a 5 bed detached bungalow with 2 rooms available for students. One room is a twin room with ensuite and the other is a single room with ensuite.

Life with your host family

Our house is very active at times, we like to visit grandparents on weekends and they live in the countryside so it is a lovely change from the city at times.
We also visit the seaside from time to time.
We live beside the river which is a lovely 15min walk to the Kilkenny Castle park.
During the week days we are all usually up and ready for the day at 8am. We spent some time outside with our little pet Chester.
