Welcome to our page. We are a fun loving family of five. We began hosting students four years ago and we are absolutely hooked on it now. Sharing cultures and our home has been something we are thoroughly enjoying and hope to for many years. We have had siblings of students from the same family return which shows the bonds we keep with most families who stay with us. Niamh is in university but comes home in the evenings. We have one double shared bedroom and one single bedroom available. The students have their own bathroom and shower only shared with them and our daughter on weekends. The double room has two single beds. Each bedroom has a bed, wardrobe, and desk in it.

We can help the student find an internship, a small job or volunteering opportunities. For short term basis, I can arrange work experience in cafes/restaurants or local shops for students. At times, manual labor work experience in a carpentry job can become available.

I am not a trained teacher of English but I am happy to do relaxed English classes for summer students at no extra cost with students that want to learn. This will only be to add to vocabulary and expressions and correction of grammar.

Life with your host family

We are very flexible with our activities and pick activities led by students' choice. Weekly, we always have dinner together, and we have weekly movie nights and game nights that students are welcome to join. I am happy to help with student school work, etc. We have small chores for students to contribute to family life. We encourage hobbies like sports, gym, baking, and knitting.
