I have two sons, age two and aged 12 (nearly 13) years. I work as a teacher, Monday to Friday (We are home for the month of July and August /no work). As a family we love the outdoors, whether it is an adventure in the woods or going to the beach or horse riding. In the evenings we enjoy playing board games or card games after dinner.

I live close to the town. I have had many students stay with me over the past 8 years. It often works well for students who would like to be immersed in the family as well as maybe older students who would like to experience life in a small town and get some work experience. I just had a college student stay with me for 5 months as part of her college master's. It was mandatory for her to attend an English-speaking country. I also can give English language lessons at an additional cost as I am a fully qualified teacher. I have a young son so it is important that anyone that comes to stay with us like small children too!

I have tutored students in English in the past and also work with TEFL. I am a qualified Primary School Teacher, and I also have a Degree and a PhD in Science, therefore I have an interest in these areas too! There are options if you discuss with me.

Life with your host family

I go to work from Monday to Friday and my children go to school or a childminder. I return from work at 4 PM or 5 PM and make dinner. Although I work most days, I am off for 2 weeks for Easter, 2 weeks for Christmas, and I also am free during the months of July and August (schools are closed).
At the weekends, we enjoy going to the beach or going on family excursions to other towns/cities, etc.
