Tristan and Rachel live in the beautiful mountains of WNC; close to the highest peak in the Eastern United States! We love hiking, playing music, and eating local food. Tristan plays music with the family and local friends. Rachel is a teacher with summers off! She plays with their happy, 9 month old baby and attends local festivities in the area! Come join our family for some good cultural, mountain fun!

We have basic, English word books for practice. We can also have plenty of conversation practices! The airport is about 45 minutes from our home. We can provide transportation.

Life with your host family

We start our day with a traditional family breakfast and talk about our day ahead. On Saturday mornings, we’ll visit the farmer’s market in town. We love to go on local hikes with the dog and family. After a short hike, we like to grab local food in town and hear music. Some days, we’ll visit Tristan’s family and play traditional mountain music! If it’s a warm day, we’ll find a local swimming hole and soak up the sun!
