Hello everyone!
Whether you are alone or with someone, I look forward to meeting you: I love having visitors and meeting lovely people from around the world. My name is Gaëlle and I am a former literature teacher in the national education system, now retrained as a French teacher for foreigners. I speak French and English and have some knowledge of Spanish and German.
I enjoy hosting friends, doing sports (yoga, tennis, ping-pong, cycling, dancing, etc.), walking in beautiful places, organizing picnics by the Garonne River, biking along the canal, going dancing in bars, or simply lounging on the terrace in the sun... I am also a foodie who loves to prepare delicious dishes.
I live in the very beautiful city of Toulouse, in a nicely furnished 70 m² apartment, consisting of two bedrooms, an open kitchen to a dining room and living room, a laundry room, a bathroom, and separate toilets. All the rooms open onto a small sunlit terrace at the treetops. The apartment is close to the city center: I usually walk there; for example, the Saint Sernin Basilica, a jewel of Romanesque art, is a 20-minute walk away.
I love my neighborhood as it is a nice place to live: quiet and close to everything. It consists of pretty Toulouse houses – "the red brick of Minimes," as Nougaro sang – and parks where you can play basketball, ping-pong (my great passion!), or simply chill. There are also several bars known for their atmosphere. The Minimes district, lined with shops and restaurants, is less than a 10-minute walk away.
I love my city and know its every corner. I will be eager to show you French culture, whether by visiting Toulouse and nearby places (the southwest of France holds wonders!), but also French cuisine, literature, music, traditions...
If you wish, I can also give you French lessons: it’s my job and I know how to adapt to everyone’s level and desires.
Smokers are welcome: I am a smoker myself but only on the balcony.
