A summer morning can start quietly with a family breakfast on the terrace. It's a pleasant moment to chat and kick off the day together.

Depending on our mood, the morning can be spent doing various activities: practicing French through conversations, engaging in a creative activity with Lise, or sharing a workout session with Gabriel in the gym we've set up at home. We can also enjoy the nature around us with a bike ride or a hike.

During the week, we like to organize outings to explore our region. For example, we can visit the beautiful city of Albi, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site, discover the Soulages Museum in Rodez, or spend a day in Toulouse to visit the Cité de l'Espace.

We also enjoy visiting the very beautiful medieval villages nearby, like Cordes-sur-Ciel or Puycelsi. A stroll through these villages can be an opportunity for a delightful break in the afternoon to savor an ice cream and enjoy the charm of the alleys and landscapes.

On a day in Rodez, we can also go bowling and share a meal at a restaurant to have a friendly moment.

For the more adventurous, we can organize a kayaking trip. Depending on the weather, we also like to go hiking in nature and discover the landscapes of our region.

Lunch is usually taken at home or sometimes as a picnic during outings.

We place a lot of importance on meals. We cook ourselves with fresh and seasonal products and enjoy offering a varied homemade cuisine. We often invite our guest to participate in meal preparation: it's a friendly moment that allows for discussion, learning about each other, and sharing our cultures.

In summer, the end of the day is often a very pleasant moment: we enjoy cooling off in the pool, and we sometimes have dinner by the water when the weather permits.

In the evening, we share dinner together and take the time to talk. After the meal, we often like to play board games like Dixit, Skyjo, Esquissé, or TTMC, or simply spend a quiet moment together to end the day.

Our goal is for our guest to feel truly at home and to have a pleasant, enriching, and discovery-filled stay. We especially hope that they will have very good moments with our children and leave with beautiful memories of their stay in France.

We would be very happy to welcome a young person into our home as a family member during the school holidays and to introduce them to the daily life of a French family.

We are a family of four living in a large house near Albi, in southwest France, in a calm environment close to nature.

In our family, there is my husband, an environmental engineer in Albi, myself, a primary school teacher, and our two teenagers: Gabriel, 16 years old, and Lise, 14 years old.

We really enjoy cultural exchanges and believe that it is a very enriching experience for young people. Welcoming a teenager into our home will allow our children to meet someone from another country, share activities, and practice languages in a natural and friendly atmosphere.

As a teacher, I am completely available during the school holidays to support the young person during their stay. I can organize different activities, but also suggest moments to practice French and improve oral and written skills if the teenager wishes.

Gabriel is very sporty. He cycles, swims, and climbs, and he exercises almost every day in a gym that we have set up on the ground floor of the house. This gym is, of course, accessible to our guests.

Lise enjoys creative activities and cooking a lot. She loves to draw, do creative crafts, and prepare pastries. For example, she enjoys making pancakes, pizzas, or testing new recipes that we then share together.

Both of our children also love to read, hike in nature, and participate in cultural outings, such as visiting museums. We also appreciate outdoor sports activities: cycling, hiking, or kayaking.

We really enjoy spending time together as a family, especially around board games. We regularly play board or card games like Dixit, Esquissé, Skyjo, or TTMC, which are always very fun and friendly moments.

The region offers many opportunities for discovery: for example, we can visit Toulouse, Rodez, or Castres, explore the landscapes around Albi, or enjoy sports and cultural activities.

During the summer, we also enjoy the garden and the pool a lot, which are perfect places to relax, chat, and share good times.

We would be delighted to welcome a young person eager to discover French culture, practice French, and share with us a friendly experience, rich in exchanges and discoveries.

Families wishing to host with Linguifamily must first create a detailed listing, with photos, a description of their living environment, and the activities they offer. We then verify the identity and criminal records of each family member and conduct a one-hour video interview to ensure their profile perfectly matches our expectations.

Secure payments

Linguifamily acts as a trusted third party for payments. Our payment interface, hosted by Société Générale, guarantees the confidentiality of your banking data and the security of each transaction.

We will ask you to pay a 30% deposit by credit card at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be due 6 weeks before the start of the stay, payable by credit card, Chèques Vacances, or bank transfer.

Free cancellation up to 48 hours after payment. If the host family needs to cancel the stay (due to family or health issues), our team will offer you other host families that match your criteria, or you will be fully refunded.

We also offer coverage through Axa Travel Assistance insurance, which covers costs such as repatriation or cancellation in case of urgent medical or family emergencies.

Problems are very rare, but in case of any issues, we intervene quickly to find a solution with the host family or, if necessary, offer you an alternative.

Train or flight travel not included

The journey to your host family (plane, train, or bus) is at your expense... and that's good news! It allows you to freely choose your travel dates based on the most affordable prices and the schedules that suit you.

However, your host family may offer to pick you up from the train station or airport (either for free or as an optional service).
