I am a retired dancer, living happily in rural France. I have travelled the world, several times over and have lived in England, Wales, Spain, Japan and now France ... not forgetting all my years at sea. I love music, animals and nature. I enjoy cooking but my fascination has always been the French language and I have many years' experience in teaching both English and French. I look forward to meeting new students at my home.

I can accommodate two guests, as long as they arrive by car. Please note that I have a small sports car, so I cannot carry more than one person.

We can help the student find an internship, a small job or volunteering opportunities. I am a volunteer at the local Red Cross Boutique. If a student wishes, she can join me for one day during the week, at the Red Cross shop.

I provide the materials for all these lessons and I ask the student to send a message before their arrival, which will give me an idea of her level. Any particular areas of grammar can be addressed, as long as I am informed in advance. I can collect students from the Station and would return them, as well. Please note that their parents would need to notify the Station if they need to be accompanied by a Staff member. The public swimming pool is almost opposite my home, just a five minute walk. I will be willing to pay for the entrance fee. Should a student be interested in pony trekking, please let me know in advance. There is a trekking centre nearby and this would be paid by the student.

Life with your host family

I like to teach in the morning, after breakfast, as our brains are fresh, following a restful night. However, on Market days, I teach after lunch, so that we can visit a local Market.
We normally stop for a light lunch, then we decide how best to spend our afternoon, before returning for dinner and a quiet evening, in front of the television or simply chatting about our day.
