Students can join or finish at any time during the program. However, to make the most of their experience, we recommend arriving on a Sunday, allowing them to begin classes and activities right from the start of the week.
Weekly Program Overview:
**Morning: Intensive English Classes (15 hours per week)**
- Each morning, students attend structured English classes focusing on improving their speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills.
- Small class sizes ensure personalized attention, and our native-speaking teachers create a fun and engaging learning environment.
**Afternoons: Cultural Activities & Excursions**
- Every weekday afternoon features a mix of recreational activities and cultural excursions designed to immerse students in Irish life:
- **Sports & Outdoor Fun**: Volleyball, football, tennis, basketball, tag rugby, and even beach trips.
- **Creative Workshops**: Activities like drawing, painting, Celtic knot-making, clay pottery, and jewelry-making.
- **Irish Cultural Immersion**: Special sessions include Irish dancing workshops, Gaelic football lessons, and Irish music demonstrations.
- **Half-Day Trips**: Each week includes a half-day trip to explore the local area. Destinations include the Irish National Heritage Park, the Dunbrody Famine Emigrant Ship, and the scenic Kilmore Quay and South Wexford Coast.
**Evenings: Supervised Social Activities**
- Evening activities are all about bonding with new friends and having fun:
- Events like treasure hunts, table quizzes, karaoke, movie nights, and group games like dodgeball and ultimate frisbee are organized.
**Saturdays: Full-Day Excursions**
- Each Saturday, students go on a full-day trip to discover more of Ireland’s rich history and stunning landscapes:
- **Wicklow**: Visit Wicklow Gaol and explore Glendalough National Park.
- **Kilkenny**: Tour the beautiful Kilkenny Castle and discover Dunmore Caves.
- **Dublin City**: Students can choose their own itinerary for the day with guidance from school staff, exploring famous landmarks and attractions.
- **Waterford**: Experience the renowned Waterford Crystal Factory, enjoy Tramore Beach, or explore the Waterford Treasures Medieval Museum.
- **Castlecomer Discovery Park**: A day of adventure awaits in this 80-acre activity park, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts.
**Sundays: Family Day**
- Sundays are spent with host families, giving students a chance to experience everyday Irish life. This "Family Day" is a great time for rest, bonding, and exploring the local area with their hosts.
