Welcome to Tracey's home with Family of 4

We are a family of 4, Tracey, Dave, Daughter 14, Son 11. I am a stay at home mum.
We live in a small country village adjacent to the local Comprehensive School. We are very close.
We moved to the country from the city 7 years ago.
We hosted a Spanish student (15yrs) for the academic year Sept 23 to May 24. She became a part of our family and I built a relationship with her mum. (reference from Student mum available) We have also had many short stay students from France.

Our student guest will be immersed into family life like my own children.. will do chores like my children.. will feel loved and secure.. it is important that we treat our guest as I would like my daughter to be treated by another family. When we visit family and friends our guest will come too. This is a regular family life experience. I have included a photo with our Spanish student Sara & French Student Elsa.

We do day trips now and then but this is an immersive stay into our regular family life. Cork Airport is 1.5 hours and Shannon Airport is 1.5 hours from home. Kerry Airport is 45 minutes from our home. There are flights into Kerry Airport from Manchester, London, Frankfurt-Hahn, Faro, Alicante, Brittany, and Normandy. Dublin Airport is 3 hours from home. If collecting from Dublin, it's a 3-hour drive up and 3 hours back, so a total of 12 hours traveling for the host for return travel. Air Coach travels from Dublin to Cork. I would prefer NOT to collect from Dublin Airport.

Life with your host family

This varies depending on the time of the year.
We try to do things as a family when we can. If the student attends school in our comprehensive school we are a 3 min walk to the school.
We live in a small housing estate in a country village. This is an immersive stay into regular family day to day family life, however depending on length of your stay we would try to do at least 1 day trip to see some of our country. Eg. 10 days 1 trip .. 20 days 2 trips. this is weather dependent.
