I am the mother of two children. We live in the city in a large house with an outdoor space. I have chosen to take care of my children full-time.
Virgile is 15 years old, he is homeschooled. He has various activities, whether it's learning the piano, DIY, taking care of animals, sports, or going for walks or mountain biking alone in the forest.
Céleste is 14 years old, she attends a private middle school 10 minutes away from home. Céleste does high-level sailing. Sports play a big role in her daily life, as well as music with learning the guitar.
We also have a fish: Bubule, a cat: Rayon de Soleil, and rabbits.
We enjoy spending time together as a family, preparing meals and weekend culinary challenges/discoveries allow us to have pleasant moments together. We also enjoy doing creative/decorative activities and board games with Céleste.
Culture plays a big part in my children's education; we regularly visit museums, temporary exhibitions, go to the theater, circus, opera, and cinema. We also go on vacation regularly to discover France, from Alsace to Brittany, through the castles of the Loire Valley or Provence; we would be happy to show our beautiful country. The children also enjoy amusement parks very much. We go to Disneyland every year. We also plan to return to Futuroscope, Puy du Fou, Parc Astérix, Vulcania, O'Gliss, etc...
I adapt to the children's pace and needs, but we are never bored if we are motivated.
I can also offer (at no extra cost) French language lessons according to the young person's profile and desire.
We go to Catholic mass every week (no obligation). Near our house, there is a Protestant and Evangelical parish.
In the morning, breakfast follows the school schedule, the table is set. Then it's off to school for Céleste and to his room for school work for Virgile. At noon, we eat with Virgile a meal that I have cooked. Céleste eats at the cafeteria. After school, it's snack time (homemade cake or fresh bread) and homework. In the evening, we prepare the meal together and eat around the table. Some evenings, everyone's activities are added to our schedule. Wednesday afternoon is sports time for everyone. Saturdays and Sundays are more relaxed days when we like to take walks or go to Paris.
We want to offer the young people we host a monthly visit to Paris. Depending on each family, we can also offer vacations and trips within France (with an additional cost). We live in a city and have many activities to offer, whether cultural or sports-related. We have activities with the MJC such as drawing, music, video editing... many sports are available in clubs: tennis, scuba diving, athletics, combat sports,... We also have high-level clubs in gymnastics, judo, rollerblading, and sailing with whom an exchange could be very enriching if your child is a high-level athlete. As for schooling, we have around us 2 public schools and 2 private schools. Enrollment in a general or technical field is possible, but we also have the option for the young person to join a professional class (sales, commerce, reception, electricity, maintenance, laboratory/chemistry, boilermaking) during their stay in France with the possibility of unpaid internships.
