Welcome to Sam Family
I work in a school and have the advantage of being on holidays for 3 months during the summer. Tom is a machine operator. We are a typical Irish family, who enjoy our national games Hurling and Camogie. We are relaxed, love enjoying time together and having a laugh. Though we can be competitive especially when it comes to a game of cards. We like to go on days away exploring Ireland with our students.
Like any home everyone pulls together, we prepare breakfast and lunch or a picnic if we are away for the day. We have beautiful hikes and walks around Kinnitty castle. We love to attend a match in our local GAA grounds. On wet days, there is nothing nicer than watching a movie with some popcorn!
We live at the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountains where we have beautiful hiking trails, and Kinnitty Castle and Kinnitty Village are just a few minutes away from us, so there’s lots to explore. In our local town of Birr, we have Birr Castle and the local swimming pool, where you can enjoy a swim. In Tullamore, we have the cinema and the local park to enjoy. The Glenbarrow area is beautiful to explore; bring a picnic.
We enjoy cooking, playing cards, and there are always visitors dropping in for a chat and a cup of tea. If the weather is bad, we love a good movie and some popcorn. We can always have a day away in Galway or Dublin, and if it’s really hot, a day away at the beach is a great time to cool down.
