Hello!! I am Chus and I live with my husband Javier and our 3 children in Talavera de la Reina (Toledo), a small city located southwest of Madrid, just 90 minutes away from the capital.
We offer a spacious room and a private bathroom in a sunny and pleasant two-story detached house with a garden and a private pool. Our guest will have plenty of privacy as their room and bathroom are located on the upper floor while the 5 of us in the family have our own on the ground floor. Wireless Internet Access is included. Good references, experience, and responsibility.
The house is located within the city, within walking distance to the hospital, medical center, or the library. There are several supermarkets and 2 shopping centers nearby, also within walking distance, as well as the commercial and leisure area (10min away). Our students enjoy the pool, trips to the city, and to Madrid Capital as there is very good transportation, with buses or trains departing and arriving every hour.
We are not teachers, but we speak English and understand French, which is very helpful at the beginning or in case of difficulties (medical, administrative procedures, etc). We can help you with Spanish and find you a language course as there are several language schools nearby.
We are a typical Spanish family: fun, affectionate, talkative, and eager to meet new people!! We love food, music, sports, reading, and all kinds of cultural activities. We are passionate about meeting new people and have previous experience as a host family. It is a very positive and enriching experience to live with someone from another country and language. Our recommendation letters are proof of that. We are looking to host a student in need of accommodation who wants to experience the Spanish culture authentically. We will be delighted to be your Spanish family.
The student can choose a short or long stay. We can also accommodate for months or the entire academic year. We can also host couples as the room and bathroom are very spacious, the closet is huge, and the bed is double.

We help our guest to practice sports such as tennis, soccer, or swimming in sports clubs in the city with Spanish students. We can also arrange assistance for summer courses in academies or sports clubs according to the student's preferences. There are several language academies near our house or we could find a private Spanish tutor.
We love food, music, sports, reading, and all kinds of cultural activities. The guest will be able to participate in all family activities. We have bikes for riding around the area; the city has many parks and bike trails on both sides of the Tagus River. We have a private pool in our garden where the guest can swim whenever they want.
