I run a small Guest House and host festival visitors in the summer, international students, and contractors. I am also a keen traveller. Summer we do have a very high demand for accommodation in Edinburgh,

Summer months get booked well in advance. Ideally, I would suggest avoiding July and August so I can spend more time with my student guest.

We can help the student find an internship, a small job or volunteering opportunities. I do have volunteering and part-time work opportunities for students with multi-skills, or willing to help around the house. There will be seasonal differences in what needs to be done and what has been required.

PICK season (15th July to 26th August rooms will be fully booked with festival visitors in advance this year). Students who want to stay during those dates will face a crowded household but happy to discuss.
The host family optionally guarantees that there will be no other people speaking the same language during the stay.
