Hello, my name is Brigitte and I have been hosting English language students for several years in my home town of Swieqi in Malta. I live in a spacious maisonette with ample space for students. I am a qualified TEFL teacher so you can be rest assured you will learn proficient English with me during your stay in my home. I am currently persuing my dream of writing a fiction book and I work at home during the day.
My daughter lives with me. Her name is Petra and she is 26 years old. She works at a gaming company as an anti money laundering specialist. She loves cooking and she has a new hobby. Playing golf.
We have 2 adorable mixed breed dogs. One is a puppy, the other dog is six years old. If you like cute dogs, then my home is perfect for you. My daughter works from home twice a week. On the other days she goes to work at an office.
Our home is close to Green's supermarket and there is a bus stop conveniently situated a couple of minutes away. The city center of St. Julian's is nearby, easy to get to by walk or by bus. Beaches are close by to the house and ther are lido's where you can enjoy the day in Sliema which is a short bus ride away.
I offer two cozy bedrooms exclusively for student accommodation. These can be booked as a shared room between 2 people or as a single room for sole use. The first bedroom is a comfortable twin bedroom, perfect for those who prefer their own space, and who want to book a single room, while the second bedroom boasts a generous triple layout, ideal for shared living arrangements. There is one main large bathroom that is shared by students.
At the back of my propery you will find a charming backyard where you can relax under a pergola during the summer months.
Prices are for full board, half board or bed and breakfast. There is 1 hour of conversation per day included in the price. We only accept female students over the age of 18. We have house rules to abide to, when booking we shall send these rules to you.
Home life is relaxed. Students can treat themselves to breakfast. We make dinner which is served at 7:30pm. Students can spend time in the back yard during the day. I give conversation lessons to students who wish to improve their vocabulary and learn English. At the weekends we can take you to visit new places in Malta.
I can arrange for students to attend English language schools in my area. The schools give students a timetable to follow. Students must attend classes and many schools offer activities. There are plenty of places for activities in our area. Example: Gym, football ground, padel/tennis courts, indoor swimming pools, cinema, bowling & water sports. For people who enjoy history we can recommend places of interest to visit during your stay.
