We are a North London family, living in a five-bedroom house. Our guest will have their own separate bedroom and bathroom located on the top floor. We have another bathroom that we use. On the top floor, we have two rooms (both can be short-let), a bathroom, and an office my husband uses when he works from home twice a week! We love spending our weekends together as a family as my husband works Monday to Friday. Living in North London means there’s always something to do, and we’re very happy to tailor activities to suit our guest’s interests to help make their stay enjoyable and memorable. Or the guest, if they are of legal age and they wish, can explore on their own.
There are plenty of local activities to choose from. Nearby, you’ll find horse riding at Trent Park and Gillian’s Riding School, canoeing (for ages 16+), Go Ape at Alexandra Palace, and bowling. We also enjoy visiting beautiful places such as Kenwood House in Hampstead, as well as lovely green spaces including Grovelands Park, Lee Valley Regional Park, Forty Hall, and Trent Park. I usually drive my daughter to activities, so getting around locally is easy.
London is a very vibrant, multicultural city that has a lot to offer. Many of the city’s museums and galleries are free to visit, along with iconic landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, London Bridge, and St Paul’s Cathedral. There’s always something new to explore, and we’d be delighted to share these experiences with our guest, should they wish. My children usually have breakfast around 8 am, typically eggs and a freshly made smoothie. If our guest prefers something else, I am happy to prepare it.
We always have dinner together as a family, although it is sometimes later than 8 pm if my son has rugby practice. However, if our guest prefers an earlier dinner on a particular day, they are very welcome to eat with myself and my daughter earlier. We are away on the weekend June 19-21. We cannot host a minor that weekend. We welcome any questions that you might have!
