Hello all, my name is Elaine. We are a family of three, myself and my two lovely boys aged 10 and 7.
I have a really good personality with excellent communication skills which making hosting guests very easy for me.
Myself and my boys love company and love meeting new people.
I am well traveled and have welcomed guests from all over the world to my home for many years.
I am a Home Economics and Irish teacher so great food guaranteed.

We are very fortunate to have a beautiful and comfortable home overlooking the picturesque mountain ranges surrounding Killarney. This little town is world-famous and is the crown jewel in Kerry due to its exquisite location beside lakes and mountains. We live in the countryside a very short drive from the town centre (4km) and the national park. Killarney National Park is simply paradise and encompasses every kind of terrain for which Ireland is famous. Killarney is also home to Ireland's tallest mountain (Carrauntoohil, at 3,406 feet), spellbinding lakes and forests, the rain-ravished Torc Waterfall.

We also have a wonderful outdoor space with a basketball area, soccer area and when the weather is good during the summer we erect our 14 foot swimming pool outside. We are a very outdoors family. My boys are very sporty. We love hikes in national park and camping in our beautiful country. We enjoy kayaking, swimming and paddle boarding on the lakes of Killarney. We have the equipment we need for these activities also. We love cycling in the national park. We have bikes for use also and the necessary bike transport system attached to the car.

I am also a qualified TEFL teacher so additional language classes available if desired.

Any guest of mine will not leave disappointed with the welcome and hospitality received. You are sure to be blown away with our beautiful town and my lovely home and family. We will be happy to arrange days out with you during your stay with us. We are a busy family who always like to be out and about enjoying activities and adventures. Our family home is suitable for guests of all ages who would like to improve their English and gain confidence in speaking English.

We can host students for long or short term stays throughout the year as well as the full academic school year from Sept to May. We also offer the option of 6 month academic school stays also. We organise everything with the school in order for your child to have an excellent experience. We are currently accepting students for the Academic year 2024/2025 or a 6 month term. In order to enrol for Sept 2024 the last date we can accept bookings is April 2024

No smoking or alcohol in the house. Night curfew must be observed with quiet time from 9.30 in the evening until 6.30 am the following morning.
We have a range of rooms all ensuite to suit your needs. A shared room is more cost-effective for students, but all options are available.
We are an environmentally conscious family. We have a PV energy system in the home which guarantees piping hot water all year round. We would ask that our guests are not unnecessarily wasteful with electricity, etc., in keeping with our values.

Guarantee that no other guests of the same nationality will be in the house at the same time unless requested by the family e.g. if 2 brothers or sisters or cousins or friends wanted to visit together
